This album is very boring....and I was so looking forward to listening to this album. “Obama” is the only listenable song, and “Carne Asada” is probably the worst song I’ve heard this year.
While it's nowhere near Ariana's best, I appreciate her for going outside of the box and singing over production that would be deemed "experimental" for her.
Favorite Songs: the light is coming, R.E.M., God is a woman, sweetener
Good song, but I wish her vocals weren’t so low compared to the production
One of my favorite debut albums of all time! Yours Truly is an album that has nothing but bops all over it. It's also very nostalgic because I used to bump this album HEAVY back in my freshman and sophomore years of high school.
Favorite Songs: Honeymoon Avenue, Baby I, Tattooed Heart, Lovin’ It, Piano, Daydreamin’, The Way, You’ll Never Know, *Almost Is Never Enough*
Even though Megan has already admitted to it herself, Suga seems very rushed even though there are a lot of bops on it. I'm just more interested in what she's gonna give us after this project now.
This album is in the same vein as Die Lit, where you don't have to pay attention to the lyrics that much to enjoy the project. This album has a lot of bangers that you can definitely ride to, or just doing anything around the house. Solid album from Baby Keem!
This album was essential in middle school me's playlist. This album is nothing less than a classic!!!
This is one of the best albums I've ever heard. This album completely encapsulates what ATCQ has been their whole career. It's as if they took TLET and MM, made them conceive a child, and this is what came out. It's sad that Phife is no longer with us, but I'm glad that he was able to be a part of ATCQ's final album. This album is a literal masterpiece. R.I.P Phife Dawg
Sweet, short, and straight to the point. Just like this review lol
Favorite Songs: Bugs Life, Hungry Hippo, Pet Cemetery, Silly Sam, Fruit Salad, Pretty Ugly, Sore Loser
"DR. WHOEVER" might be Amine's best song ever. It's so personal and shows more of his vulnerable side while still having crazy production in the middle of it. This album definitely shows that Amine doesn't just have one specific sound (the childlike sound on GFY) and he can hop on crazy trap production too!
This is such a fun album!!! The production has definitely gotten better since Calling Brio, and I love that Amine gets way more introspective on songs like "Sundays" and "Turf".
This mixtape has nothing but nonstop bangers!!! Aminé is flowing his ass off here too. Also, he really needs to work with Kaytranada more. They work perfectly together! Not a big fan of Everlast though. The beat is very basic.
SN: why does the 2nd beat in "Zzzz" sound off tempo with Aminé? It's very aggravating.
This album is what happens when you mix all of the aggression from RTJ2 and the braggadocious-toned vocals from RTJ1 and just fine tune it. El-P even sounds more confident on this album than he did on the first two. El-P and Killer Mike finally established themselves as one of the best groups in the game ever with this album.
This is probably the most comfortable RUSSELL! has sounded on a full project. I’m so happy for RUSSELL! and can't wait to see what's in store for him next!
Favorite Songs: RESPEC & PROTEC, HEADTOP, LOVERBOY'S RETURN, roll another one!, sucker
Future outshined Young Thug on this project, but Offset had the best verse on the whole album
This is one of the most euphoric, yet also heartbreaking albums I've ever heard. This was the perfect album I needed to listen to after a huge breakup I was going through. Frank's singing perfectly describes the emotions I was feeling during this time, especially songs like Ivy, Self Control, and Godspeed. The album is very sporadic, but it makes sense if you think of the album as all the emotions you feel after a breakup, and all of your thoughts just spiral out of control for an hour. A ... read more
I really fuck with this album a lot. Denzel is really honing in on his flows more on this album, and the production really compliments his style. This album fits in the same realm as N64 with the very gritty aesthetic of the album as well. He also has hella good bars on here too like "Who said Jesus can't be a black guy? Even Luke Skywalker's father was on the dark side." Good project from Denzel.
This album is pretty ok, but it's extremely inconsistent. It constantly switches from autotune Yachty to rapping Yachty way too fast but if it was more cohesive, I'd fuck with it a lot more.
