Really good 90s West Coast album. The prod on this reminds me of some Camp Lo shit except with more of a funky feel to it. Some of the rappers’ flows were kinda choppy at times but it didn’t hinder the album as a whole.
I will say this until everyone gets the picture, but shit like this is why Quelle Chris is the most underrated artist ever. This man just proves to us time and time again why he's one of the absolute best in the game right now. I can't even begin to explain the emotions I feel when listening to this album, it's bizarre. "Mirage" and "When You Fall..." are easily some of the best songs I've heard this entire year, and what's crazy to think about too is that Quelle is only ... read more
This EP is such a fun listen. Every song on here is an absolute banger and doesn't give you time to breathe until it's all over. Coffee on the Balcony is easily a top 5, maybe top 3, RUSSELL! song. The emotion he brings onto that song is absolutely amazing.
Favorite Songs: Coffee on the Balcony, BLUNT WRAP LATTE, Money Don't Make Me, Peep Game, Prince Charming
Every song except for "dirty elevator music" and "when i'm gone" was terrible. None of these songs really needed to be released and Meechy was the best part of the project as usual. He couldn't save it this time though.
Check JustSomeGuy's review for how I feel about this album. Couldn't have explained it any better.
This is easily Yachty's best album and has his best rapping on any of his albums by far
This album is not good at all. Lucki sounded like he was bored making this shit.
The songs individually are good, but they all have the same song structure so the album as a whole tends to sound very samey. Gaga's vocals are really good tho.
Favorite Songs: Rain On Me, Sour Candy, Enigma, Replay, 1000 Doves
If Mac were to have made love albums for the rest of his life, I wouldn't have been mad at it at all. The way he incorporated jazz and R&B into this album was nothing short of beautiful. Songs like "Dang!" and "Soulmate" are so groovy and upbeat that they just make you wanna dance, combined with slower tempo but groovy as hell songs like "Skin," "Planet God Damn," and "We." The bassist is also an unsung hero on the entire album (don't know ... read more
I surprisingly enjoyed this album more than I thought I would. NAV didn't have as many corny bars as he normally does and I really enjoyed a lot of the production on the album, even though 99% of it sounded like leftovers from Eternal Atake. Most of the features were pretty decent too. The album does get a bit boring though around "She Hurtin" and "Overdose."
The songs are good but I wish they were more fleshed out. It feels like something’s missing with each song.
Man, I remember I used to HATE this album! But I'm so glad it's grown on me since my first couple of listens back when this album first came out.
If you had told me back in 2011 when I first saw the Yonkers music video that that same artist made this album, I would’ve told you that you were crazy. I might've said Flower Boy was his most mature album to date but in terms of Tyler as a completely full packaged artist, this is his magnum opus. I’ve never heard so many melodies and chord progressions in a single album it’s insane! He was really able to take the aggressiveness/abrasiveness from Cherry Bomb and the beautiful ... read more
This is probably Tyler's most mature album to date. The production on this album is so beautiful and cinematic. It really puts me in a calm headspace whenever I listen to this album. He's also spitting his ass off on this album, compared to his previous work. Really enjoy this album.
Best Songs: Boredom, Glitter, I Ain't Got Time!, Pothole, Droppin' Seeds, Who Dat Boy
Not only is this one of my favorite Tyler albums, but it's one of my favorite albums of all time. I love how aggressive and in-your-face it is but also with the fact that it's also countered with so many amazing chords scattered throughout the entire album. I still don't understand how people can hate this album.
Best Songs: KEEP DA O'S, SMUCKERS, THE BROWN STAINS OF DARKEESE LATIFAH PART 6-12 (REMIX), CHERRY BOMB, 2SEATER, FUCKING YOUNG / PERFECT
One of Tyler’s most consistent albums, and has some of his most underrated songs ever.
Best Songs: Parking Lot - Lone (best run of the whole album)
