I had to listen to this because I lost a games of 'odds are'. I really should've picked a number higher than 10.
Listening to every Swans album, 1 album a day. 3/15.
Most of the problems I had with cop seemed to transfer to this record, most notably how g-dang boring some tracks are. But with that being said, I enjoyed this project slightly more as few great tracks actually stand out, whereas cop's enjoyability flat lined from beginning to end. Overrall it's semi-enjoyable but is mostly forgettable.
Listening to every Swans album, 1 album a day. 2/15.
Cop is a shaky follow up to filth in my opinion. It's by no stretch bad, but I can't say I enjoyed it all the way through, there's so many dull moments and with the slow and draining instrumentals it physically feels like a trudge to get through. This album feels like the annoying but somehow incredibly dull little brother to filth. I didn't enjoy nor enjoy it.
Listening to every Swans album, 1 album a day. Part 1/15.
Fitting title, filth. I don't know how to describe it but this music sounds gross... dare I say it smells sour. I enjoyed this album all the way through if you ignore the 5th track. I would pay good money to have Michael Gira yell at me.
I went into this with no expectations and the first 2 tracks had me thinking this was gonna be incredible, but I was kinda let down. I somewhat enjoyed this album as a whole, but I seriously loved 3 of the songs on here.
Week later re-review. Original score was 95.
I really enjoyed this project but after reevaluating the full tracklist and I cannot justify a 95. Many tracks on here were some of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in music but there's a few duds throughout the runtime. The Light is still my favourite song right now.
certainly a step up from meditations but I can't shake the feeling that I'm listening to royalty free motivational music. I enjoyed it a little.
Did I enjoy it? Yeah.
In the Court of the Crimson King was the 2nd ever album I listened to, so it and King Crimson have always had a special place in my heart. I was always afraid to dive into the rest of their discography, in the case it was dog water, but today I listened to Red. I was pleasantly surprised, though it was a mild let down. Providence in particular was astounding and overall, Red was a confounding experience and I regret not listening to it earlier.
Top tier youtube recommendation core. Did I enjoy it? Yeah, every second of it.
Did I enjoy it? Yeah, but not as much as I expected. The tracks on this album range from mind blowing to mediocre. The production is well done but feels I don't know... thin? Tracks that felt complete to me were few and far between, but with that being said I didn't dislike a single song on here. Gave this an extra 5 points for the morrissey hate.
Did I enjoy it? Kinda. The beats are super lethargic, which most of the time is a good thing, but sometimes it really, really isn't. I have no issues with this beside the fact it's boring at points.
The cover on Spotify isn’t centred I hated every second /s
Did I enjoy it? Yeah. This albums very earl sweatshirt-esque. Amazing cover.
Did I enjoy it? I guess so. This albums just youtube royalty free motivational music type beats all the way through.
Did I enjoy it? Yes, so much. This album was pure unadulterated fun. Spikes may just be my favourite song of all time, although this is the epitome of 'turn that off it'll scare the hoes' music.
