I feel really awful saying this, but what Hayley Williams has accomplished with this album makes me wish she took more time apart from Paramore. This album is a four-sided masterpiece.
of course it's not better than the original. It's weird and almost completely unique but definitely worth a listen.
April Legate has her next Neutral Milk Hotel. AFUT is a great effort and has a future as a cult classic as it's unlikely the band will spend much time playing any of these great songs live.
"Not Strong Enough" has officially drilled into my brain and gets stuck in my head at random, inconvenient times.
Part of me thinks "why isn't Dream Theater bigger than they are?" but then I realize with albums like this, they're great the way they are.
Dance of Eternity is an all time great track with incredible virtuosity.
Among Dream Theater's best. Panic Attack is an all time great prog metal track.
The initial singles are good, but this is truly an album to experience. Definitely they're best album since 2011's "Wasting Light"
Honestly, this album is super underrated by most reviewers. Anthem and the title track are Rush staples.
Her approach is an acquired taste, but I recommend acquiring it because this is a game changer album.
It's a must listen for anyone who says country is bad. This whole thing feels so divorced from the Nashville sound of the time.
I can see why some older school fans (like me) wouldn't appreciate this metamorphosis from Paramore, but I find myself liking this album more than any prior.
This album is a disappointment only in the sense that it couldn't POSSIBLY live up to its predecessors. This would be a magnum opus for any other artist, but because it's Kendrick Lamar it's just an all time great album.
