Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper

Starting off on YouTube playing FIFA, to dissing KSI (and just being in the "YouTube rap scene" in general), to now releasing a big contender of album of the year this year... what a crazy evolution.

Being honest, I never knew much about Quadeca and just heard about him from others online. Like, watching music related videos on YouTube, every once in awhile I would hear respect for him. Additionally, scrolling on the "best albums" on AOTY I saw Quadeca's "I ... read more

Joey Valence & Brae - HYPERYOUTH

Compared to the rest of their work, the hip-hop duo decided to take a slightly different approach on this album.

I first got introduced to Joey Valence & Brae randomly searching for videos to watch on YouTube like two years ago and saw the video for their song “Punk Tactics”. At the time I thought that song was pretty heat 🔥 Then not too long ago I listened to some parts of their album “No Hands”, which had a lot of grittiness to it. But on this album, it has a ... read more

It’s been 3 years since JID’s last album release (The Forever Story) and he has finally returned!

From last year to now, JID has been going on a pretty good run. From collaborating with Eminem on “Fuel” and “Animals (Pt. 1)”, his big song “Bodies” that he performed with Offset, his recent feature on “Gold Feet” off of Freddie Gibbs’s and the Alchemist’s album Alfredo 2, and more. Like I just been seeing JID pop up more ... read more

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2

After 5 years, the Alchemist and Freddie Gibbs have returned for a sequel to their classic album "Alfredo".

I actually haven't listened to the first "Alfredo" album prior to my listen to this album, so I didn't really have a certain expectation or comparison during my listen, which I would say was a good thing. But, just today I have listened to the first album so I do have some thoughts and comparisons to make between the two albums... :
1. The first ... read more

Michael Jackson - Thriller

This is THE album of Michael Jackson. What I find crazy is that out of the 9 tracks on this album, 7 of them were released as singles!!! And they all made it to the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, that's absolutely crazy... but Michael Jackson is Michael Jackson 🤷 lol. Anyway, the like three most overplayed and known Michael Jackson songs are on this album... "Beat It", "Thriller", and "Billie Jean", I knew all of those in like kindergarten. Thriller ... read more

When I saw this album, I was actually kind of excited to listen to this, but this didn't reach my expectations bru. I wanted to have some music to play during my basketball practice session and I kept getting pissed at the songs playing, like this isn't my kind of music that I like listening to. I think I was more mad at my weak-ahh jump shot and the half-ripped apart slides I was wearing that I got from Walmart 😔, so that didn't help either. But being for real, a majority of ... read more
