Avenged Sevenfold - Life Is But a Dream...
80

Now I’m well aware I have an unpopular opinion regarding this record but I did for The Stage as well so I guess there’s nothing wrong with that. This is the most unique & challenging record A7X have done to date. The only issue comes down to some of the mixing throughout the record, but other than that, there isn’t any other complaint I have regarding this.

Quadeca - I Didn't Mean to Haunt You
100

This is a classic. One of the most unique sounding albums I’ve ever heard. To look at where he was 3 years ago & where he is now artistically speaking, it’s inspiring. This is an emotional record with 9 beautiful ballads, an incredible interlude, & a great instrumental outro. This album is perfect in every little detail. fractions of infinity is probably the best track Quadeca has ever done, the usage of the choir is incredible. Soul Glo - Diaspora Problems
70

Good record, nothing insanely impressive but it’s consistently good from start to finish.

The 1975 - Being Funny in a Foreign Language
71

Good album, better than the last record they released. It’s a positive album sonically, if that makes any sense. Anyways, it’s a nice listen.

Slipknot - The End, So Far
70

Not the best effort from Slipknot, not even as good as WANYK, with that said, I like some of the experimentation on the record, I want something different every album to keep me interested in coming back to the artist/band I am listening to. Addrell is the least Slipknot sounding track they have made & it’s one of my favorites off the album. H377 is traditional Slipknot & is the strongest song on here. With that said, I’m not a fan of every track, Medicine Of The Dead ... read more

Logic - Vinyl Days

A very good post retirement album from Logic. For an album that is 30 tracks, it goes by very fast.

Post Malone - Twelve Carat Toothache
68

A pretty decent record but this isn’t Posts strongest effort. It may be his weakest project alongside his debut album. Questionable lyrics stop replay value on some cuts like Insane & Cooped Up. This album had Post try new avenues & I feel like he succeeded majority of the time, but some songs do miss like wrapped around your finger or Wasting Angels.

GIVĒON - Give or Take
73

Give Or Take is a pretty solid project, there are standouts such as Let Me Go, This Will Do, Lie Again, At Least We Tried, & Remind Me. Not every track hit the way Giveon wants it to, but the vast majority of tracks succeed in that feat.

Brent Faiyaz - WASTELAND
74

A very good debut album, however I believe this is not his peak. He does have tracks of greatness though, like Dead Man Walking, Angel, Gravity, All Mine, Jackie Brown, etc. I’m not a huge fan of Villain’s Theme, but it’s not necessarily a bad track.

Motionless in White - Scoring the End of the World
10

This record lacks originality & the power of keeping me invested from start to finish.

Jack Harlow - Come Home The Kids Miss You
17

Terrible record, I’m sorry. Jack Harlow seems like a cool person, but this record is just NOT GOOD.

Boldy James & Real Bad Man - Killing Nothing
88

Great hip hop record, simple beat selections but good beat selections & some strong punchlines throughout the record.

Future - I NEVER LIKED YOU
70

A good record, one of his stronger projects I believe. There are misses but there are also hits, more hits than misses honestly.

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
84

Another banger record from The Weeknd. Maybe not his very best, but the best tracks on here can be considered him at his very best. Sacrifice & Out Of Time are 2 incredible tracks from this record. There’s a lot this has to offer, sounding more upbeat than After Hours, however is lyrically just as depressing as After Hours.

JID - The Forever Story
96

Outstanding record. This is the most personal record from J.I.D. so far. He has overcome nearly every single flaw he’s had as a rapper these past 5 years. He’s gotten more creative & he’s just an overall better writer & rapper on this album. His best work yet, I just have a feeling he can top it though.

UnoTheActivist - Limbus 3
2

I can confidently say this is one of the worst records this year. An utter ripoff of another garbage artist. There is not a single track I would listen to. The only reason this isn’t a 0 is because I know there is worse out there, but that bar is set very low.

Pusha T - It's Almost Dry
79

Strong record by Pusha T, my main issue is the lack of replay value on a few of these tracks, but the majority of the album is a lot of fun.

$uicideboy$ - Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation
89

I’ve been a fan of $uicideboy$ since 2018 & I can safely say this is their best album. Tracks 1-11 are nearly flawless. Genius is one of my favorite tracks of the year, the sampling Super Mario was utilized quite well. The sampling of Suicidal Thoughts By Biggie was amazing, 1000 Blunts is another track I would consider as a standout track for the group as well. Best samples on a record undeniably. Also Rubys best performance on a record.

Freddie Gibbs - $oul $old $eparately
90

Amazing record from start to finish. Not 1 miss on this album, all I can really say about it, go listen to it if you haven’t already.

070 Shake - You Can't Kill Me
80

A great record with high quality production that isn’t just some typical breakup record, 070 Shake shows improvement as an artist throughout the record from start to finish.
