Massive respect to him for somehow not including his two biggest hits (MILLION DOLLAR BABY and DEVIL IS A LIE) in the album fresh off that success. He cooked big time
if Peggy made the beat yall would be glazing let’s be real
edit: NVM i'm fucking crying the beat is actively telling them to stop 😭😭😭😭
help I’ve been transported to another plane of reality
In terms of production, this is definitely some of his best work yet. Ever since I’ve started following Jimmy Poindexter with the release of “*GHETTOLAND”, I’ve always been annoyed at the sloppy mixing of his albums. Nothing was ever blended well, the wrong things were in the top of the mix, and overall it just sounded like shit. This is much, MUCH better. It actually sounds intentionally lo-fi, instead of just inexperience.
Now, for the AI shit. Not only is Kendrick ... read more

I find it strange how these are clearly some of Wilbert's best beats, yet he didn't rap on them, even though he released this not in his instrumental project, but instead in his main project. I understand these are demos, throwaways, and unreleased tracks, but I see this as yet another wasted opportunity. It's no longer "too little too late", we've fully left the realm of even trying at this point. His most critically acclaimed albums were all freestyled in the ... read more
she rlly hit me hard AND soft with this one... stunning production, incredible singing, and beautiful lyrics and hooks that will be stuck in my head for a bit. I rlly enjoyed this, idk why it took me so long to listen to this.
but yeah, flip the album cover on its head and replace backdrop w the heavens and that was me during the climax of WILDFLOWER (i ascended)
edit: I bought this album on vinyl and it's officially peak. I still get goosebumps during the climax of WILDFLOWER, which is ... read more
never have i ever been so pleasantly surprised by something i saw coming a mile away
This album is easily the best album I've heard from him so far. While it started a bit rough with "bird enemy car" and "with iron & bleach & accidents" (which the mixing kinda made my ears hurt), the album picked up the slack and never stopped. This is peak. idk how he keeps doing it
It was better the second time on Bandcamp (I swear it was way too quiet on Spotify). Sadly, I still think this album doesn't try hard enough. Sometimes, it feels extremely thrown together, and I think the ideas are lost in a clear motivation to sound as boundary-pushing as possible. It's a challenging record, but I think it distracts from whatever idea UURYDON is attempting to convey here.
