The new mix is extremely similar in many ways, but the slight changes they made are great, and the overall master quality being increased is great. The only issue I had was the new mix for "Marsha, Thankk You For the Dialects", which was alarmingly quiet compared to the other songs on the album. The new titles were also quite funny, like what in the Illinois is the new title for BlackBoxWarrior?? great stuff. I would've preferred to just keep the original titles since they kinda ... read more
album so heavenly it even got the titanic rising 🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
A few people in this discord server I'm in recommended this album to me, and I just want to thank them because in just two listens I know this is an album i wanna keep in my rotation forever. I gave it two listens because I really wasn't sure how to feel about the record. It was too much. It was beautiful... but I was listening to it in the wrong place. I listened to it on my Beats buds while waiting for some ... read more
clearly he sees smth in the despicable me franchise that no one else sees for him to cook this hard
it's slightly off beat and completely off key ALSO WHY DID THEY MAKE THIS??????
This album still stands as one of the most interesting and unique plunderphonics releases I've ever heard. This album completely leaves the world of dance and hip-hop aesthetics that albums like "DREAMCAST SUMMER SONGS" and "Since I Left You" establish as the foundation of their style. Instead, this album takes the approach of crafting a vibrant, lush soundscape that immerses you in a surreal world. The structure of this album is also unique, in the way most songs start ... read more
Updated thoughts:
Upon relistening to all these tracks again with the DIRECTORS CUT version of the album, I can confidently say that this is not his best work. It's not his best written, it's not his best paced, and while it may be more serious at parts, the album falls apart when trying to inspect what he's actually trying to say. In fact, upon inspecting his lyrics in these songs, they're entirely nonsensical, just a bunch of punchlines with zero throughline to connect ... read more
Possibly the most well-produced, heartbreaking MIKE album I've heard so far. Not only does this album have incredible lyrics, the production clears up the snapshot of how Michael Bonema was feeling at the time. By far my favorite production by him is on this record. Incredible stuff
This is the first album I've heard from Porter, if I'm "supposed to be a fan to get it" then I apologize
This album is difficult to describe. It's both an extremely honest look into Porter's perspective on life and a horrifically dated pop album, and I believe these two don't mix. It creates a sort of intense contradiction, especially when put into the context of the album title. While I get it's supposed to be a rug pull, and albums that switch from ... read more

What a strange and inconsistent release. All I wanna say is that it has some of the highest highs I've ever seen from this man (LITHONIA RAAAAAAHH) and some horrible low points, like I'm talking straight bottom tier shit. OH and the production is consistently well-crafted and/or amazing.

Funnily enough, the best part abt this album is how it sounds like shit. The album’s far too long, and with the little substance it gives, it makes the 1hr 20min runtime a chore. The beats are fine, sometimes quite good actually. The issue SpaceGhostPurrp consistently runs into is that he doesn’t understand how to effectively use the runtime of an album. This means that some songs will sound really similar and touch on the same topics over and over again, which is a HUGE problem for ... read more
raw, unapologetic, and just the right amount of abrasive. With hindsight, this was a premonition of what was to come in "Some Rap Songs", although only lyrically. On the production side, the album sounds entirely different from his next album, and I believe some of the message is lost because of it. Switching to more lo-fi production on his next project was the right choice.
However, if there's anything this album sounds like, I'd say it sounds unbelievably cold. The ... read more
