I’m starting to think he’s unable to make bad music. Incredible beats, insanely high highs, even the low points are high. Wild how consistently amazing this album is.
someone told me this is the best rap album of 2022, and while they're out of their mind, this is still rlly solid! great production and lyricism, although there is little to tie everything together (which I'm not rlly expecting) and some samples do get a bit annoying. other than that, it's an incredibly solid, consistent album.
what? gen z's tryna what? cancel eminem? gen z's tryna cancel eminem? honey.. that's cute.
listen little kiddies let me make this quite clear
this man was around even before you were here
so what? you're all mad? cuz the man was a lyricist?

no. go ahead and shut your mouth
better yet, go and sit your ass in time out

It's difficult to describe how this album makes me feel. It doesn't make me cry like it does a lot of other people. It certainly doesn't make me feel dread. It just makes me feel... distant. I'd attribute it to the brilliant way this album is produced and mixed. Apparently, it was recorded on a laptop microphone and mixed with its speakers, which makes for a lo-fi sound that I've only heard from this era of "amateur" production, specifically Devon Hendryx. ... read more
A good, yet aimless tone-setter for the emotional rollercoaster that is "deep dark trench"
christtt uses a huge variety of samples to create a haunting and unique vaporwave album based on 9/11 and how people were affected by it. The imagery is visceral, pulling the listener into a recognizable world before abruptly taking that all away, creating an otherworldly ambiance for a time that didn't feel real. If you come into this record in a bad mood, don't expect this album to make it any better. Don't let the Chris-Chan album cover fool you, this is an incredibly ... read more
cheap electronics, lazy vocals, and sometimes pleasant guitars. It’s clearly trying to do something special and different but it misses the mark on so many aspects.
I mean it’s alright ☹️ was expecting more from Freaky
edit: it has grown
Production-wise, this album is unmatched. the way these beats take u on a journey oh boy
it's a lot of fun, not his best but definitely underrated
What do I even say to describe an album like this. It's immensely haunting and empty. Even then, after what feels like forever, meditating in the depths of dread, the album ends with METAL MASK, which, to me, is a song reassuring us that, no matter what happens, we'll be okay. We got through the worst times, so we shouldn't keep stressing about it. An incredibly powerful message right at the beginning of the pandemic. I wish I had heard this earlier.
While not his best, it definitely punched ... read more
this album is great, doubles down on exactly what made PUNK TACTICS so fantastic while signaling a new dance/club direction. I see a bright future w this duo, and I'm excited for what they have in store next!
too little too late, unfortunately. it's been so long since he's dropped ANY music as Cities Aviv that this feels like nothing, throwaways even.
