Kota really shines on a few tracks yet the rest of the album fades into the back of your mind, never to be seen or heard again. Overall a decent album that is propelled by a few gems in the rough.
Best songs: sedona, chicago diner, backyard, bagels, solar return
Eh songs: pretty much everything else
Magick Spells is terrifying. Gateway Drugs enlists noise rock and psychedelic sounds to provoke addicting carnal horror. Haunting vocals and heavily distorted guitar with almost psychedelic riffs weave a fascinating story. Overall a must listen album from a criminally overlooked band. only negative is that it can be a somewhat slow listen but that is overshadowed by the overall competence of the songs.

Best songs: Numb, I Hope to be Around, Seven, Show Me How, You Deserve This, Pierre
