Do you mean to say glam metal's dead and has been replaced with...this? No complaints.

Corinne Bailey Rae - Black Rainbows
70

this album is a bad example of show don't tell, although the vocal performances are impressive it lacks any motion to push It forward besides ny transit queen which honestly doesn't sound like it's even on the album why is it there

Noname - Room 25
87

the last truly enjoyable noname album that has its corny moments and also its musical highs. the lows are infrequent enough to reach peak hip hop status and secure her name at the top of the female rap game

A Tribe Called Quest - We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service
90

I never expected a tribe called quest to make a comeback album this late in their careers especially after the love movement's mediocrity and even outright trash self but here we are, and although nostalgia bias sneaks it's way into critic's reviews (looking at you Record Collector) do not deny ATCQ their due respect

Radiohead - Kid A
78

this might seem crazy - kid a is overrated. sorry, it's not as good as people say. maybe it'll take a little marinating.

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black
100

Incredible is all I have to say. also, I like the deluxe a little better because of monkey man that song is awesome R.I.P may winehouse the goat

and now coming back to this after having listened to lioness and frank, (4-24-25), this album is perfect. it is perfect, start to finish and deserves a 10/10

Pink Siifu & Turich Benjy - It's Too Quiet…'!!
87

pretty quiet for a record called "it's too quiet" if you ask me but it gets louder I guess. but yeah, at points its boring and at points its amazing.

System of a Down - System of a Down
80

I don't like metal
I like system of a down
system of a down system of a down system of a down system of a down

J Dilla - Donuts
95

Thirty-one short experimental premium production tracks, a rapless rap album, and the pinnacle of gangster rap in it's dying stages, Donuts proves a tongueless record can be a surprisingly satisfying emotional experience.

Geordie Greep - The New Sound
97

first listen reaction: holy shit

cinematic, well produced, dancable, cryable - if this is the new sound I'm ready

J. Cole - 4 Your Eyez Only
94

j cole's best to date in terms of passion, flow, lyricism, songwriting, poetry...and everything else

The Roots - undun
80

honestly overrated, none of the songs except for a couple are mindblowing but it's the end and careful track selection that makes this album an auditory masterpiece of death

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced
98

I was comparing this to electric ladyland, and although it's more consistent it definitely doesn't have as much peaks as are you experienced. but yeah, peak psychedelic and blues, it's basically the only evidence for why jimi hendrix is the greatest guitarist of all time.

Joey Bada$$ - 2000
86

1999's followup didn't have the same expectations, but the bias gets erased as soon as those enjoyable and engaging fifty two minutes end. the features are awesome too except for diddy for obvious reasons. The last three tracks might be top one hundred three track run in hip hop, it genuinely almost made me cry. that last track is so underrated too, it's like a movie almost.

4-2-25: update - too many misses in my opinion

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
95

if melancholy hill didn't make you cry I don't trust you

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS
NR

the last thing anybody was expecting kanye to do in 2018 was drop a psychedelic masterpiece with kid cudi, but I'm glad he did

Yuno Miles - Go On Tour Yuno
NR

peak but I don't want to ruin my profile so this'll be NR for now

Kanye West - Late Registration
94

it's called late registration because it's for late night listening - top five kanye easily

Pusha T - DAYTONA
92

i mean a pink must hear is a stretch but it doesn't disappoint

pusha t's been pushing what makes a successful hip hop album. the genre he tackles in this record isn't known for having short albums exactly but he still makes a memorable 21 minute hardcore, southern and boom bap hip hop album that you really can't say is mid.

70

Only one year later making doolittle is hella impressive but it's honestly not THAT good I mean I could think of five better alternative rock albums but it is indeed influential and has it's highs + lows

"it's very aggressive and wildly experimental so not for everyone but honestly fy/p and find your wings are both incredible songs (plus the opening track and second are kind of catchy)"
