I feel like I heard most of the melodies already at least 20 times in my life. But I like the song writing and felt like he's a genuine guy. Still I couldnt love it.
I mean Central Cee is just too shallow of a guy compared to Dave on "Our 25th Birthday". I think this EP would've been way better if they just went for fun songs/bangers. One guy is just so much mature and a better lyricist than the other it's not even funny.
Like I promise he just needs to switch his flow a little more, keep going out of his comfort zone production wise and I see him being the best rapper of this decade.
Ok so I had it at first around 75/80 cause eventhough I didn't enjoy it, I respected the content and thought it would grow on me. The opposite happened, I dont think the lyricism is that impressive, I don't think the content is that original or more well thought of what I would have with a random guy in a bar. The sonic experience was the worst part. I dont' mind or don't like the beats on this... I just don't enjoy that album. It is what it is.
This is the kinda of moments I'd wish to be white. I don't understand.
Some good beats, mostly average though. Great performance by the MC but it is to be expected with Elzhi. WIll I come back to this that often ? Meh... Maybe some tracks in a playlist but the album as a whole is missing something.
It's exactly what I would imagine from Cascada if she somehow made pop-metal.
"She could sing the phone book and I'd pay to listen" is a saying right ? And when I heard Adele best songs I believed it (almost). This album didn't even have one of these moments. It's really sad to listen to such a boring project without any highlight when you got such a gifted singer...
I liked everything I heard, it was really "sweet" ya know. But I need longer songs. I will definitely check for her in the future though, I'm sold.
So this site is a refugee of white Kanye stans or what ? Like if some tracks were removed and others shortened we definitely would have an album deserving the rating it currently has (80) but as it is ? Let's be serious people.
Les interludes sont un peu trop longues et l'auto-tune.... Sinon j'ai kiffe la prod et les histoires racontees.
I was actually expecting so much more after his freestyle... Not bad... Painfully mediocre.
If I get an album full of tracks like "6PM in New York" this would be at least a 90. But as usual Drake only makes me wanna sleep, his beat selection is great though.
I mean if you like music as some sort of nice background noise, this is great thanks to the production. Yela still has a nice and unique voice, he can sure rhyme and switch his cadence but... I'm a bit confused by what Yela is doing. Dropping mixtapes after mixtapes not saying anything ... It may be a way for him to be sharp for an album he's working on ? At least I hope...
Damn if only the spoken parts were given to a theatre actor... This lacked so much in term of emotions and variations in the delivery, it negated any feeling I could have had (I actually like the lyrics and think they went well with the melodies). It even ruined the music parts I could have enjoyed... I see the potential but what I had to listen to this time ? Nah sorry...
Am I crazy or did he really sound like Joyner on "Lucky you" ft Eminem on "Paid my dues" ? Particularly the chorus LOL.
I only listened to 4/5 songs from him before this and I never really enjoyed it but never thought it was awful. Anyway, I really wanted to like it (since he seems so hated on this site) and I have to say it wasn't a bad listen...
But I wish his rapping abilities were as impressive as his beats are "grandiose and dramatic" which I wouldn't mind ... read more
