I started seriously listening to and being interested in music around 2019, and if there is one thing I’ve learned in that time, it’s that I am an indecisive bitch.
There is nothing more terrifying to me than concretely saying how much I like a piece of music because I can never ever be sure enough. There are songs and albums I’ve listened to dozens of times that if you asked what I think about them, I’d just say “I really like it, I think, probably!” I used ... read more
So I just reviewed this guy, calling his debut the worst thing I have ever heard, and apparently he just released a new song, so with morbid curiosity I checked it out, hoping for some improvement,,,
NOPE
This guy still fuckin’ sucks, even after having THREE YEARS to improve. He clearly has taken some notes, the song is, God bless, only 3 minutes long, so it doesn’t quite feel like a funeral with its length, but the song sucks so much it doesn’t even matter that it’s ... read more
Wow…
This might just be… the WORST thing I have ever heard!!!
Jesus H. Christ, sometimes you find something that is so incredibly terribly, so offensive and demeaning to the concept of musical quality, that you have to comment on it. I don’t even know where to start with this…
Apparently, this is some random teenager’s first album? Yeah, you can tell. I mean, just look at that damn cover! I’ve never seen something that screams “I have just ... read more
Many hilarious things about this remix:
1. They’re still releasing random ass remixes for this, frankly, underrated album a year and a half after its release
2. Pusha T on a Phoenix track, lmao
3. Pusha’s vocal processing here sounds awful, its like they took the vocals from a different song using a random free internet stem splitter and then didn’t edit the vocals at all
4. Benee clearly just recorded 4 lines and a couple harmonies for them and nothing else lmao
5. This ... read more
True story: I play drums and part of my arts school education is chamber playing, so I’m in a trio with
- a bass guitar
- and a fucking accordion
We play standard stuff you’d expect to be played on an accordion
…and then this too
Best part? I play double kicks on the final chorus while the accordion just does its thing. Absolutely life-changing.
It’s so fucking sick hearing Max with an actual backing band, and the beat switch is so good. All of this adds up to an amazing reworking of an already great tune. Extremely looking forward to the album of bops that Max has promised with this backing band.
And just like that, the best album of the year, nay, the best album of the decade, nay, the best album of the millenium, has been released.
So strange seeing Tom Scott get told about hyperpop, Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek, and then get subsequently turned into a hyperpop track, but I ain’t complainin’, shit bangs.

Pssst… let me tell ya a secret…
I’m on this thing!
Yeah, little old me!
And the best thing is… I have the longest song the album!
…oh and also the album’s for charity and you better buy it or I’m gonna break your kneecaps because there’s a lot of very talented musicians here who get to show off their talents very well, while the work still manages to contain a ... read more

…Henry got home from work. Finished dinner, prepared himself some light music to keep himself entertained. His wife is still on business travel, so he has the home to himself. He likes spending time with people obviously, but he does sometimes appreciate a little time alone with himself.
He looks around the room, fully decorated and wonderful to gaze at. He started feeling proud that he had managed to create something so illustrious, that his guests would always ask around. Where did he ... read more
There’s a spectrum to music with bad snares.
On one end you have St. Anger.
And on the other you have Wonderful Rainbow.
Holy shit, I’m actually on the verge of tears.
This can’t be real, I have to be dreaming.
Fuck.
I hope to god this album (or ep whatever) is as good as this song because even after one listen everything that makes jakey great is here.
Shit, what the hell. How.
There’s a real balsiness in releasing the first third of your second album two months before that album releases, especially since your last album only had 6 songs…
But god fucking damnit they’re pulling it off
also why are the members cute they’re distracting me from their great music
For the longest time I heard the fish fillet line as “Bitch fillet” and I honestly think I made a better line than Kanye there
I think this is great so don’t kill me when I say…
I unironically think this almost sounds like something Wilbur Soot would make PLEASE DON’T KILL ME IT’S JUST AN OPINION
Ehm.
Yeah this is fantastic. Compositonally this is probably the most varied song they’ve made so far, and considering the song is able to go through this many changes in three and a half minutes is seriously impressive and shows the band is improving even more in songwriting. There’s ... read more
The Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock soundtrack being my and my sisters gateway to this is hilarious to me and only me.
There’s almost an almost impossible difficulty in trying to convey my connection to this band in a meanwhile way. I mean yes, there’s the Guitar Hero connection, but that was almost a decade ago, and since I’ve stopped playing that game, I haven’t thought about this group at all. And yet, the moment I turned this album on fully for the first time, it felt ... read more
Listening to this with the lights turned off was the right choice.
Wow, just wow. Adam and Shawn have reeled their style in a bit, and the result is absolutely beatiful and wonderful. You’re getting hit with notes left and right, but non of it feels too chaotic. The drumming is just as impressive and head-boppy as always, and Adam’s production just never seems to amaze me. Just when you start to think that Sungazer’s EDM-inspired schtick is getting a bit tired, they switch it ... read more
