This album was certainly a step down from Illmatic but still a very pleasant listen
This album is a CLASSIC. I don't care what people say this album is special and so underrated. Ab-Soul was at his absolute best on this album and the features were just as good as Ab-Soul.
Mostly mid songs on this album but I like what Ed had in mind it was good to expand out and collaborate with different artists from different genres. Just some songs worked better than others
Ed's worst album by far cannot even listen through this album it is too intolerable. 2step remix is good but it isn't on this album so doesn't go towards the rating
Now this maybe Eds biggest album but it is certainly not his best. I don't find myself coming back to many of the songs with only Castle On The Hill and Perfect being the main two in my rotation this is when Ed Sheeran started to become really generic with his music with the two previously mentioned songs being a saving grace.
I just listened to this album and these are my thoughts. Very Jazz hip hoppy album all round slapped in with a random Danny Brown feature which brought some much needed energy but a very relaxing listen all round!
This album was a joyful listen and a blast from the past with rappers such as Andre 3k and singer CeeLo Green featured onto the album. Some of the solo songs weren't as joyful but most of the beats were very good. decent replay value
