Although it's an extremely weird produced and well written album, it just feels repetitive at points and boring at others. I enjoy the samples for the most part but some of them are a bit strange. The main thing I don't like about this project for the most part are the vocals, they are great on some tracks, but mediocre or annoying on others. I do see the appeal that the album gets but it is one of my least favorite Tyler projects, it does definitely hold some of his best songs and ... read more
Although this does have some of Slipknot's best songs and some of my personal favorites, there are a lot of elements that brings the project down, and the main "elements" are most of the middle part of the album, tracks 6 to 10 are all pretty mediocre and decent at best, with "Butcher's Hook" being pretty bad and a lowlight of the album and slipknots whole career. The guitars and vocals are all amazing, drums are great and the acoustics on "Snuff" work ... read more
It's a really interesting project, for the most part it's excellent, the bedroom pop style of the instrumentals with the accents of hypnagogic pop work very well together, he has a great voice for this type of music and he shows it in tracks like "Dead Weight," "Leopard" and "John & Nancy" but there is so many times on this record where his vocals start to annoy me or the tracks start to get a bit boring or repetitive. That's the only thing ... read more
I love how simple and west coast styled this project is. Kendrick is doing what he wants and making music for himself and the people from where he came from. The lyricism is still incredibly sharp on this project with some standout moments in his entire career. This album is mainly filled with bangers that are fun to listen to, all the tracks have incredible replayability and I appreciate this project similarly to DAMN. due to him being straightforward, raw and meaningful, but still replayable ... read more
A lot of this project personally bored me and I do think it is Nine Inch Nails weakest work, but there are some great standout moments on this EP still. "Less Than" is one of my favorite Nine Inch Nails tracks of all time, but that is the only track that really captivates me in this EP, and the outro track is pretty dragged out as well. Although it was an interesting EP and more of an industrial rock sounding project, it's just a bit off and I feel like more work could've ... read more
