real diverse and real impressive. i took a real hit with millions being my favorite track. it so closely resembles a potential for a more “swimming” mac miller beat. i could so easily hear mac rapping a more heart felt flow to millions putting it really up there for me. with the rest of the project tackling genres like reggae, trap and lofi. an overall real impressive startup.
with such an unforgivably harsh and real debut, ice cube lays the grounds for what’s to come
an impactful and beautiful sounding r&b/pop album by kali. with tracks like “blue” sounding as if they belong as part of a sade project, to a feature from don,( similar to that of her feature on don’s most recent project), this album messages admiration, love and what it all means to kali
an album emotionally divided in half (7 to 7) with capitalized “45 SMOKE” to “PLAY WITH FIRE” being more aggressive, confident and rowdy, followed by and opposing lowercase “i tried” to “adhd” being more emotional and vulnerable. another slowthai album backed with creativity, emotion and rhythm
though backed with lots of emotional trauma with hits and misses, carter V stands a recovery from the prior carter IV. with excessive length and track high like “uproar“ and low like “hittas”, this album brought back the carter series with something to be expected.
this album opens with a double entendre of a title with both schoolboy q, an oxy-moron himself and the oxymoron of an unexpectedly well thought album. with unique features that back schoolboys style and fun tracks that keep the listener alive and rowdy. this album is well done
an all time rap classic and very personal favorite of mine. with a collection of flawless tracks including hits "lollipop" and "a milli" to my personal favorite of this album, "comfortable" i love the range of sound and mood wayne brings with this album. being wayne's most spoken of album, carter III easily holds a spot on the throne in rap history.
with this album wayne honed his skills, making up for what was lacking in "tha carter", giving us an album with unique production backed with insane lyricism led with a 77 minute length. despite this, this album well managed to keep my interest and excitement through and through. with tracks like "money on my mind", "mo fire", "grown man" and a personal favorite "hustler musik" this album worked perfectly to continue the carter series keeping ... read more
backloaded with amazing tracks with some mediocre to start and attention to detail in the looping of the album with tracks “ walk in” and “walk out”, this album was well thought and executed. With many amazing tracks and room for improvement, “tha carter” was a great debut of the carter series.
heavily carried by: "who's zoomin' who?" "sisters are doin' it for themselves" and "push" with the rest of the album your average aretha, great, yet nothing to write home about . as an overall take on pop aretha, this album checks the boxes. yet another well done album by aretha
with the hit “respect” and songs like: baby, baby, baby, do right woman, do right man, and a change is gonna come, this album greatly details feeling of admiration and hope towards another, providing a sense of relatability and connection to it’s audience. this album is a masterpiece and a classic time and time again.
following the sequence and staging of love and separation through a story of relationships, aretha speaks in confidence and a winning tone, leaving behind an amazing and femininely empowering classic
with the most beautiful and rowdy soul blend this album holds, it quite perfectly defines a some what du-wop pop era, ranging from the soulful melodie’s behind groovin to the danceable niki hoeky, aretha really is a queen of soul
this album is timeless and passionate. with no skips, very backloaded with phenomenal work from lord knows and on, simply a great sound behind this album with amazing features and production from just blaze’s lord knows to 40’s work on cameras and practice. a very impressive project from drake
in terms of rap and music in general, this album is great, being easily high in drakes best. every song is good, with my only complaint being as little as the water drops at the end of legend. with my personal favorite, jungle, to the rowdy 6 man and especially wayne’s verse on used to and foreshadowing on star67, i can say i really like this album.
