I'll be honest. I originally gave this album a 95 because I slightly preferred GKMC over it, but the more I listen to it, the better it gets.
The opening track: "Wesley's Theory" is just so damn catchy and funky and sets the tone for the absolute treat of an album you're going to experience. I love every single track on here, no skips.
Please do yourself a favor and listen to this if you haven't already.
Hell of an introduction to what will become a storied career.
This was a fun listen and showcased the talents these two had. There are some absolute BANGERS on this (obviously "Da Funk", "Around the World", "Revolution 909", and "Alive"), but there are some rather underrated gems on here too. I particularly enjoyed "High Fidelity", "Phoenix", and "Indo Silver Club".

Take every unlikable aspect of Linkin Park and make an album out of it. That's this album.

"Two Faced" is "Figure.09"
"The Emptiness Machine" is "Final Masquerade"
And "Over Each Other" is probably one of the worst singles they have EVER released.

I bought this record one day on a whim and every time I listen to it I have NEVER skipped a track. Production, storytelling, flow, personality, soul, and features are all top-tier. I love EVERY track, so I cannot pick a least favorite and usually I can do that with other albums, but not this one. "Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst" is such an AMAZING track, probably my favorite track from Kendrick of all time.

All of a sudden, it clicked. I was thoroughly enjoying it. I had always acknowledged the talent behind the band, but this time I was fully hearing it. Every song on here is full of technical riffs both fast and slow, tight precision, and overall complexity. And it's amazing for the ENTIRE 56 minutes.
