I don't know the singer's name, but I don't regret listening to this album.A mix of Nightwish and Children of Bodom. On the plus side, the female vocals are very pleasant, which is rare in metal. The compositions seem repetitive to me, but that doesn't bother me personally, and is actually a plus.
I don't know what Till was thinking when he smuggled in some German disco folk at the end of the album
I still remember watching Sinister and when “Gyroscope” started playing during the end credits chills all over.
That's why I was convinced to listen to this whole album
eeeeee co to ma być,jako fan dwóch ich pierwszych albumów stwierdzam że nic ciekawego
GIVE US THE FLESH!
GIVE US THE WILL I COMMAND!
I love this album for me it's top-tier death metal. The riffs are heavy as hell, further boosted by Inferno drumming. Nergal's vocals are a bit over the top at times, and you can tell they were touched up by a computer but honestly, it doesn't bother me at all in the long run, it's just something you notice. A masterpiece plain and simple.
pierwszy kawałek banger w chuj-ulubiony z całej płyty, reszta to takie przaśne granko ale parę kawałków również bardzo spoko
maybe I didn't like the vocals at the beginning of the album, but at the end my eardrums started bleeding
After listening to Adrenaline and Around the Fur, I expected something with the same punch. Instead, this record feels way more drawn out. It lacks the aggression and raw emotion that originally made me like Deftones. Sure, there are some good moments, but overall, it’s just a decent album ,nothing amazing, nothing terrible. Worth a listen, but it doesn’t hit that hard.
I’ve listened to Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) many times, but for some reason, I never wrote a proper review until now. I don’t even know why maybe because I needed time to really understand this album. I first got into it over a year ago, and I’ve been listening to Manson since around 2019, so it’s been a while.
Holy Wood is, in my opinion, one of his best records and judging by the ratings on Album of the Year, I’m clearly not the only one ... read more
an interesting album, but a bit tiring towards the end, it had better and worse moments but overall it kept the level
