I'm not a big fan of rap or hip-hop but this album was really cool. I love the jazz instrumentation and the mashing up of all the samples with the great voice and rapping. It's still not particularly my thing, but I can REALLY appreciate it.
Also, seriously, your voice is amazing tho.
holy moly official first release on 'Fauxroot' project is out woahhh except its a demo so its not actually official but STILL go listen if you want I guess. I'm really happy with it!

Decent but not very memorable metalcore. That's... kinda it. Still a good album, with some great moments tho.
A bizarre fusion of loads of stuff that, all together, made a wildly unique, confusing and entertaining album. If you want a vague idea of what this album is think a collaboration between Melted Bodies, Royal Blood, Bad Bunny and [insert drill/hip-hop artist here]. I highly, highly recommend you listen to this utterly insane, manically brilliant masterpiece.
So sad to see one of the best AOTY user artists depart from music, but what a way to end. More than an hour of mostly new songs that celebrate the various genres and aliases Gonnn has blessed us with. Just as Gonnn themself said, the album, although including such varied, different material, somehow is cohesive and fantastic as is. A great send off to someone who inspired me to push forward with my own music. I wish you all the best!!
As a huge fan of ‘Semaphore’ and especially ‘Move Like You’ (Entice Me is one of my favourite songs), I was really looking forward to this full album. And it did not disappoint! I loved most tracks, and the ones I didn’t love, were still great, just not as special. An amazing emo/post-hardcore album that was well-worth the wait and well worth the listen if you haven’t. The vocalist’s voice is absolutely phenomenal too.
A weird, trippy, confusing album that mixes genres that, on the surface, shouldn't particularly be mixed. But, although being messy and bizarre, the album somehow works. I'm not stunned by anything, but nothing was anywhere near bad. Just a pretty decent album that maybe could have been more than that. Actually also the autotune really doesn't work like it bugs me out and sounds horrid.
As someone who isn't a big rap/hip-hop listener or a huge fan of some of what I've heard of the genre, this was really solid. I love the crisp production and jazzy, danceable vibe. Some of the lyrics are weird and a bit cringy but I kinda expect that from rap at some points. Didn't bother me one bit and left a really smooth, enjoyable, jazz rap record that I'll definitely revisit. Maybe not personally deserved of such a ranking on the website, but what do I know. Still a ... read more
This is simply the best thing I have ever heard in my life. I don't know what to think or do because this album has done something to me. I'll give a longer review soon when I'm not utterly lost for words.
Edit: OK IM BACK HIII.
So, after a few days, I return to try and articulate my thoughts on this album. For starters, it's rather different to Crywolf's other works, a fact that I had suspected after the two singles. This LP feels triumphant, hopeful and celebratory, ... read more
Holy shit. What a find this is! One of the most engaging and fascinating albums I've heard in a long time. Can't believe this album and artist don't have a larger following cause this is frankly a masterpiece.I will be on the edge of my seat for any upcoming music.
An incredibly cool album. Just, it sounds so cool. I love the avant-gardeness and it hits so hard. White man, I am grateful for your cousin's musicianship because the drums are insane. This EP is the definition of an underrated gem and I hope this band and its music gets its MUCH needed attention.
Bizarre in the best way. An unusual and unique mix of emo, chiptune, indie folk and black metal that somehow works. I actually find this really charming and fun and I look forward to more madness from this project.
Some very nice, no-nonsense shoegaze, that although not doing anything new, is still a very pleasant listen. 'Always' and 'Right Here' are standouts.
A hugely expansive and impressive album from an artist who I'm pretty familiar with although have never listened to a full album from. This record ranges from stunningly captivating to making me cry and from genuinely eerie to incredibly groovy and danceable, but it all feels cohesive and meant to be. Bare with me whilst I listen to her four other albums byeee
How is everyone sleeping on 'The Essence' its amazing tho.
