This is gonna be a long review so strap in. my original review for this album when i first listened to it is down below if you want to check it out.
The pod is one of the few albums to genuinely change my perspective on how music could be made. i first listened to this album in december for my "album everday" challenge just because i found the mollusk at a record store a couple days earlier and started to truly fall in love with the mollusk. the pod blew my mind for its production, ... read more
pretty solid death metal album, i'm not a big fan of the vocals as i feel they're a little too "screechy" for me but it doesn't take away from the album too much. knowing this is an all female band is pretty cool as you rarely see that, let alone in metal. overall, it's a decent album but it's not something i see myself coming back too very often.
i am really surprised to see how much ratings bolt thrower has, i expected them to be some metal band that has a really small fanbase but no, 700 ratings is crazy! i didn't expect much going into this album, so i'm pleased to say this is actually a great album. there are incredible riffs and some great death metal growling, it all leads to a very enjoyable experience that is heavy but has more depth than something like cannibal corpse and i think that's mostly in part due to the ... read more
i've been listening everything ween for a while now and just recently listened to boredoms for the 1st time (granted, it was vision creation nuewsun so, post noise era boredoms) so i decided it was time to get this one out of the way. i had fairly high hopes for this album since i thought it would be 2 bands bringing their best to an album and making a underrated gem.... i was very wrong.
this album was a bunch of bullshit, it took the all the noise rock and humor but didnt bring any of ... read more
i went into this with high hopes but unfortunately i was still not crazy about this one, tho there is still great moments. "turn it on", "she don't use jelly", "be my head", and "moth in the incubator" are all pretty great and show a clear direction with where the lips are heading but i can't say these are all incredible; "she don't use jelly" is the best song on here no doubt but it feels like it's missing something that we ... read more
another album from my friend and this is what i expected from him; this album is alright. this is a thrash album, it sounds like thrash, has good riffs, and that's all i have to say. this album doesn't do anything special that the big 4 haven't done already and to better effect, i imagine kreator get more interesting later in their discography but for now they are just another thrash band.
