I really wanted to like this but it's just not for me as much as I'd want it to be. I wish I liked R&B more. There are some songs that's I did like though, which is why I rated it as a decent album.
Not even sure what genre this is. So many elements in the production it's really sick. Unfortunately the songs take a while to get good but when they do, it's eargasm.
First half is amazing but it kinda falls off and spams filler which is annoying. Lots of great tracks in that first half though that have some great energy and production.
Absolutely zero complaints on the production. But the vocal inflections and forced lisps are kinda corny, let alone some of the lyrics. You can definitely see the Kendrick influence with that stuff, but it's too much. Production too good to give any lower a score though.
I'm not one to usually love "girly" music (I really need to get over that), but wow this was great. Super peaceful and calming on every track. Feels like a warm hug from someone who cares about you.
Like the band name... This album was mild (see what I did there heh). Listened to it for Homage and was pretty thoroughly disappointed. Just pretty boring with no other highlights. You hate to see it.
One of the most recent 100s, and for very good reason. I've been looking for an album to describe what love feels like, and THIS does it perfectly. First love and heartbreak all in one masterfully written album. Cannot understate how many times I've cried to this, and how much this means to me.
God dude I wish the first half was the entire album because it would be perfect. Such majestic songs, that's really the only way to describe them. Will make you cry and hope and float all at the same time.
Probably the greatest or one of the greatest R&B albums of all time. So many highlights and hits. Unfortunately a bit bloated though I can't lie.
WOOOOOOOOOO I LOVE COKE... rap. Coke RAP... Every track is a banger. The features are such a highlight for me on this though because holy crap they all cook so hard. Oh and did I mention I'm a pretty big griselda fan. HAVE YOU EVER COOKED A BRICK ON THE TOILET (THE TOILETTTT).
Unfortunately this album decided to turn into a beat compilation (some of which I actually really enjoyed). The actual rap songs were all great though, just wish Nujabes would turn his vocal up a bit because he is a bit quiet at times.
This must be what heaven's orchestra sounds like. Such a wonderfully ethereal album with no limit to how many times it can make you ascend. The instrumentals outclass the singing here but it doesn't even matter because it all combined to create an experience that will always make me levitate.
One of the greatest songs of all time, and if not, one of the most special to me. This is one of the first songs I fell in love with, and it's always been there for me, especially now that the lyrics hit so hard.
This album might've saved my life. All 6 songs perfectly capture, in my opinion, what it's like to love someone who doesn't love you back. And as someone who's been there and still is, I can say that this album speaks for me in a way I never could. Here are my interpretations of each song:
Without You: This song perfectly describes what it's like to hang onto every little word that someone says. It's wrong, it's unhealthy, but when you're in love you ... read more
I'm not a huge fan of this style of music, but if I was I'd probably think it's pretty great. Despite not adding a lot of songs, I did enjoy them and their peaceful atmosphere. Ughhhh anyway I need more matcha.
