I'm a sucker for stuff that's chill what can I say. The production is so laid back but I really liked the vocal cadences that are used. I found it corny at first but it really grew on me and now I feel like the delivery of the lyrics is the highlight of the album. Kinda crazy.
Pretty nice chill album but these songs do kinda sound similar to eachother. There just aren't that many highlights, but it's consistently good enough to get into my playlist so yeah.
Easily one of the best R&B albums EVER. It's insane how influential this is. I recognized so many samples while listening to this lmao so that was fun. But the production is amazing and her VOICE wow... I swear it's so captivating, and she's got bars too.
Yeah these beats are great but at the end of the day they're just instrumentals so I can't say I liked them THAT much. Probably overrated as an album but I still enjoyed listening to the beats. J. Dilla is definently fairly rated as a producer, just wished somebody rapped over these.
This has got to be one of the most underrated albums I've ever heard. Crazy production and the rapping sounds super inspired. Some of these songs have pretty powerful messages, and I especially love the storytelling on Pictures On My Wall.
This is a really unique album. Idk how I'd describe this but it's basically bubbly videogame music with some rapping on top. Makes for a really fun album experience. The songs are just a bit too similar to eachother though.
Not and Danny Brown fan AT ALL but he goes off on this. Actually they both go off on this. Hell, even the producer went off on this. 14 tracks of straight crazy production that will have you feeling ready to run a marathon after. So much energy that my phone started getting hot.
Not a huge pop fan but I liked this a lot more than I thought i would. Talk to me boyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
The 57 year old substitute teacher told me to listen to this and that it was "the jam back in his day". So uhm... how do I tell him that this is the most boring rap album of all time?? This album just straight up yelled at me for 50 minutes over some lame drum loops. I mean most of old hip hop is boom bap but cmon bro.
This album had a lotta hits which surprised me because this was made in freaking 1963. I enjoyed this pretty thoroughly aside from a few boring songs. 1963 is still crazy though for how good this is wow.
Just super chill Japanese music. Great for chilling... and stuff. Idk I'd make an actual review but I don't speak Japaense so sorry!
WOW this album was stupidly good. Such high energy and Laurel sounds HUNGRY in his performances. The production is so freaking good and its followed up by some crazy addictive flows. The auto tune style isn't usually one I gravitate towards but wow this is amazing. The production is definently the highlight though.
IF I was an EDM fan would this be good? Yes, the best album ever. Am I an EDM fan though? No...
THIS is my kind of music. It's like he can see inside my head and then make the exact music I enjoy. No but seriously I love this kind of chill R&B so much I cannot get enough of it. And Mac Ayres just does it with such god-level consistency.
2nd half cooked because it wasn't as sad as the first half lol. No but fr though this guy just makes such consistent albums somebody stop him.
Possibly THE chillest album ever made. This is like if lofi met R&B and its such a nice mix of genresssss. This style really should be done more. It's so laid back, I've used this while studying multiple times and it's been great every time.
