I liked their Self-Titled album and saw this was only 6 songs so I thought why not. 6 songs yet half of them are instrumental I think, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but they didn't impress. And the ones with lyrics were just kinda meh. First track was great though :)
Yeah... this is his worst album yet but not the end of the world. This unfortunately sounds like if you asked AI to make a romantic album. SUPER generic lyrics and production wise it's just kinda dissapointing for something as big as a Bruno Mars album. Also, all the songs on this sound like they follow the same formula. They all have a catchy instrumental as the jook, followed by a mid bridge, and then the chorus ALWAYS includes Bruno going "oooOoOOOoooOo" in some form or ... read more
Very good rock instrumentals with good singing so you can't really go wrong with that. Had both light and heavy rock elements that were both great.
The only way I can describe this album is that it feels like a warm hug from someone who no longer exists. Corny I know, but it's just that beautiful what can I say. And for a mostly melodic album, the production was surprisingly cool.
Surprisingly upbeat especially after hearing the intro, after which I was lowkey bracing myself for a heart wrenching experience. Anyways, not as good as Yume (their other album I listened to) cuz nothing on here really stood out to me. All in all a pretty groovy album with some great choruses though.
meh, only 3 songs lol. But the style is pretty unique I guess and all the songs were decent... but again, 3 songs.
I found this quite beautiful. The singing was nice and it was pleasent, but there were some songs that were just kinda meh.
I'ma start with my complaints with this one, which I have three of: First, Kendrick was ASS on this album, with super dissapointingly lazy features that made the songs worse imo. On the topic of features, they all got absolutely CARRIED by Keem, which idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing. No one outside of him added much of value imo. Third, the album cover is very lame/generic but that doesn't really matter lol. Anyways, this is probably his best album. Really varied as ... read more
FINALLY a band/artist that doesn't fall off with their most recent work. Seriously though, Deftones' consistency is such a breath of fresh air when comared to the rest of the music industry today. This really surprised me and is definenetly the best out of their last 3 albums, with a lot of songs that stand out as simply amazing. They do a lot old things really well on here, but also delve into some new things, with, for example, a new voice on the outro track. Deftones finding new ... read more
This is somewhere between Adrenaline and Diamond Eyes in terms of how much I like this album. A surprising amount of memorable tracks considering how looked down upon this thing is when talking about Deftones' discography. This fits nicely into it as another really good album, but it's also different in a lot of ways. Might just be me but this project feels a bit experimental compared to their other stuff, not that I could explain why I feel that way lol.
I expected quite a bit more from an album as highly respected as this is... Good for its time but it's nothing special now. Maybe I'm spoiled because I'm a Deftones fan idk. Definently some classics on here that I couldn't not add to my playlist though. 7/13 added, so about half.
This is like a really good combination of rock and breakcore that makes for something really awesome. The singing could be a little more interesting, but the instrumentals lack nothing.
This album is sooooo groovy and her voice is awesome. Some pretty catchy songs on here that WILL get stuck in your head.
It's hyperpop.... I don't like hyperpop. Also kinda bloated so that didn't help.
I'm not a pop fan by any means but I mean c'mon this LP is just incredible. So many hits and nostalgic songs for me. So few albums I can say this for, but with this, every song is a classic which is just insane. How does this have such a low rating by everyone else.
This might be the definition of npc music imo. Like the type of music I imagine most people my age/at school bump. Oh and the lyrics are the EXACT OPPOSITE of what die for my bitch would mean (to Keem they seem pretty expendable lmao) so that's kinda silly. Yeah but I'm not a fan of these kind of lyrics, not to mention that most of these songs sound very similar throughout. There are a few songs on here that are genuinely hard though so W I guess.
This is probably my favorite shoegaze album ever, and that's saying a lot, because it's one of few that I think has zero skips. Every single track is flawless. And mannnn these lyrics had ALL of US crying. So yeah some of the best shoegaze you'll ever hear with some of the most impactful lyrics you'll ever hear.
I'm usually not a fan of the super heavy metal sound in general, but I was actually able to enjoy this quite a lot which was surprising. Despite how heavy this album is, it isn't overbearing yk. Oh and btw this album makes for pretty good work out music LOL.
