Ummm... I actually liked this? This had a certain vibe to it that the other installments in the series didn't have. It felt fresh as fuck and very laid back. This is one of these few moments where I don't understand why people be hating on a certain album i enjoyed but fuck it! This is a pretty nice mixtape.
I'm actually flabbergasted. This album is actually cohesive? And the bars are on point? Also Logic isn't yapping? Maybe a bit but honestly this album is so beautiful that i can completely ignore that shit. Honestly i enjoyed Logic so much on this album that i would say he is my favourite part about it. Like the production is buttery smooth, clean and gorgeous but Logic here is just much more entertaining. Having a kid really does flip a switch in you huh? Good fucking job man!
I think this album is a little overhated but holy shit does it slowly get bad. Like some of the worst and most corny tracks by Logic land on this project. Also i think i have come to the conclusion that many of Logic's albums almost don't have any uniqueness to them. Sure "Everybody" and "The Incredible True Story" do try to standout in his catalogue but the execution is just almost nonexistent. Anything else just feels very vanilla even tho i enjoyed ... read more
It is time. So many hours spent on the internet reading people's thoughts on this album. So many times i have watched Fantano roast the shit out of Logic's material and especially this album. The infamous lemon drop line, the infamous "Pretty Young Girl". It's finally my time to roast this shit ass garbage ass album.
I'm gonna be honest I didn't really wanted to give into the hate of this album but i can't just close my eyes. This soundtrack or whatever ... read more
I can see why people wouldn't like this album but i had some fun with it. The beats are fire, Logic is actually kinda in his bag here. He is not annoying except for the last track.
I hate it when he is doing a longer track and just talks for the most part. If you're not that versatile flow wise and you want to share some shit with your fans, just please rap it. I don't wanna hear you yap for almost 10 minutes just rap it and maybe think how short you can make it. Bro is just ... read more
I like this a bit than the first one. Still kind of questionable on some fronts like "Bobby Tarantino 1" but it's more durable for sure.
Logic talks so much about racism (especially black people), that he made me want to commit mass genocide. I don't care about sexes, culture, race, everybody dies. He also talks about his struggles of everyone rejecting him which is bad. But he shoves it up my face so much that i just got irritated just like any other topic he touches on this album. He just yaps and yaps and yaps and never fucking stops. I get that this album is really personal to him but fucking hell bro. And even the ... read more
Well i guess it's not the worst thing ever but i am a bit disappointed. This mixtape is disjointed as shit and has the worst interlude or skit, or whatever you wanna call this I've ever heard. Damn, i hope i like the next project.
Nothing changes on "We Love You Tecca 2" pretty much. It's a worse sequel but it's like I'm listening to "Virgo" again.
Logic's second album sort of reminds me of "Ultra 85" but very undercooked and not enough seasoned. It just feels so much like a missed opportunity but i guess I'm happy it happened because we got that album.
It starts pretty awesome but it suddenly dives into the most ok beats and Logic's rapping hasn't really changed here since "Under Pressure". Although here in some songs it seems like he is craving for attention on some songs. Feeling like he ... read more
What a boring ass monotone album bruh. This was hard as fuck to get through. My guy's older material doesn't really sound like he wanted to do music. This is just painful boring background wallpaper music.
Holy shit what an unbearable and barebones album. For something that's 40 minutes it felt like a lifetime to get through this slop. It's like if Juice WRLD and Nav made a kid and this shit is born.
This is boring, surface level, colourless, generic asf and dead.
Tbh this album is not as bad as some people say although it is fucking unbearable to get through. Jesus Christ some of the material on this album is truly god awful like that track with mgk and Kodak Black. It's like I'm listening to that collab album with mgk and Trippie but a lot worse somehow. There are ok tracks and mildly mediocre ones. One overhated song is "Peanuts 2 N Elephant". It's a goofy ass song and I like it a lot. It gets redundant as it goes (just like ... read more
Finishing off your album with Ken Carson is literally the worst choice you could've made lol. That aside Tecca finally puts out a pretty fun, cohesive and straightforward album. It's sort of like "Plan A" although the vibe is a bit different. I liked it, i might give it a few more listens!
My second contender for aoty is right here. My god this album is lively, colourful, cheerful and fun. Not a single bad emotion was felt on this gorgeous album man!
(Rating is based off the additional tracks)
The director's cut adds a few moody and dark tracks. While not as impressive as the material on the standard edition, i can still see myself return to some of the stuff here.
