α΄‡α΄˜1

In the lead up to her new album ESEXUA, I am going to be diving into all of the albums made by the critically acclaimed and beloved FKA Twigs.

I don’t know much about the lead up to this debut EP but nonetheless while this work is nowhere near perfect. It is still pretty decent, with the first positive I have to say is that in general, it sounds good!.

You can tell a lot of effort was put into every individual rhythm and sound on all of these ... read more

Lambrini Girls - Who Let the Dogs Out
46

I actually really wish I could enjoy this album.

On paper, this sounds like an album I would have a LOT of fun with, these BRI,ISH Grrrls, with these song titles and Punk Rock influences should have on the surface sounds a great experience.

What happened here?

There are glimpses of great artistry and I like some of the guitar riffs but I just really don’t like their voices, at least not yet.

In general, while it maybe has moments it’s really not overly entertaining, impressive ... read more

Mac Miller - Balloonerism
89

“Nobody ever taught you how to dance?, well everybody knows how to dance, there’s only so much time”.

As I’m not as into Mac Miller as other people I was not expecting to enjoy this album as much as other people, but holy… You can tell that Mac Miller is a man that LOVED making music.

Some of these track intros ALONE are just amazing including one of the greatest Knock-Knock jokes ever created.

That intro on ‘Rick’s Piano’ is the one that ... read more

Sub Urban - HIVE
33

Sounds like what you would feel if a beehive fell on your head.

I am so surprised this album hasn’t gotten more hate. I am so surprised that this album is still in the yellow because this Sub-Urban album… is NOT GOOD.

This is honestly one of the worst album listening experiences in general that I have ever had. This unbearable amount of edgy cringe and the music trends that it stands behind makes this album such an abhorrently bad time, that I cannot recommend it to anybody.

And ... read more

Ethel Cain - Perverts
80

Fashionably late to the party! And from the first track I can hear that everyone has already left… it’s kinda scary in here…

Overall this was a pretty great experience, just maybe not something I would go back to once a week. I do love Ethels voice it’s nice how natural it is, and the ambient moments are just immaculate.

Ethel Cain and Magdalena Bay should start making analogue horror, it’s all right there.

Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS
79

First review of 2025.

When I say I like Bad Bunny I’m really saying that I like Benito and his contribution to music culture, and an artist however I think he has a long way to go to refine the sound he has followed so far, and I think he is going to get there very soon, maybe he gets one step closer with this album who knows? Let’s see.

AFTER LISTENING:

I was correct, this album rocks.

On his new album ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ Bad Bunny expands his sound ... read more

Ice Spice - Y2K! : I'm Just A Girl (Deluxe)
24

I’m back, Merry Christmas!

At this point Ice Spices career has gotten its ass kicked from Wallsocket to Corneria.

If you listen very closely, you can hear Ice Spice and her team planning to create a Cryptocurrency called Poopie Coin in the distance.

Ugh, I still remember when she released Y2K!, at the time I was violently ill at the time, the sickest I have ever been period. (I’m fine). But it got to the point that I could have had to go to the hospital, so this album brings back ... read more

Ceechynaa - Peggy
84

“I’m in the back the car with your daddey”

This slaps, First time I have enjoyed a Drill song in a while tbh.

Snoop Dogg - Missionary
73

The Nostalgia of ‘Missionary’ and the solidified proof of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s skills and legacy.

For people who don’t know, Dre and Snoop are great friends, Dr. Dre was a former member of rap group N.W.A who would go onto a solo career and found a prodigy known as Snoop Dog, and the rest is history.

They would soon collaborate on an album together, on the 1999 album ‘2001’ that created massive hits.

Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg and this point are the Peanut ... read more

Saya Gray - 19 MASTERS
75

Keep an eye out! This is real potential here!

19 MASTERS by Saya Grey is possibly one of the strangest and unique works I have heard. This albums mixture of Folk, Psychedelic, and some Electro Pop is so confident and fresh that I predict a great second album with ‘SAYA’ coming next year.

On the track ‘‘CERVICAL CEDRIC” for example she creates this very interesting rhythm between instruments, with this magical force being created between the guitar and the drum ... read more

TWICE - STRATEGY
80

Wait! This FROOT looks familiar! How tf does it use almost the exact same font colour as the album I just reviewed? Anyway.

This was my first ever TWICE listen and I liked it a lot, Megan Thee Stallion was interesting to see here! Cause I know now Megan is one of TWICE’s BFF’s after inviting TWICE on a remix of Mamushi.

This is BOP after BOP.

ROSÉ - rosie
67

This album reminds me of Taylor Swift (Complement)

(EDIT: 70 > 67 I was a bit too generous and this album did not have as much shelf life for me as I expected, but the sentiments in my review still stand)

Not gonna lie, I HATED this on first listen… I thought I was listening to a Gracie Abrams album instead somehow but… on second listen. This is actually good, like I see myself going back to this album!.

This album sounds very Red/1989 era coded, and even sounds a bit ... read more

Eazy-E - 5150 Home 4 Tha Sick
66

Merry Motherfucking Christmas is the best Christmas song I have ever heard no cap.

It is hilarious, borderline shitposting, great montage moments, and I just love it.

Sorry for the long break from writing it’s just I have had a lot of stuff to deal with.

JoJo Siwa - Iced Coffee
35

Song for Hallmark Christmas movie core! Nah but fr, America, stop bringing your shitty Hallmark films to my screens.

Jojo you now have less than 500k followers and I think it is getting to your head. Because you sound constipated.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
79

Man came outta nowhere.

I fairly enjoyed this but I definitely expected a bit more flavour from this album.

Still great. I really respect that he is bringing back a lot of west-coast vibes on here.

Nah but this album DOES feel like it is missing something. I had more enjoyment with this album by listening to it as a mixtape. A high quality mixture of songs, not going in a particular direction but in general are still above the bar.

92

A cacophony of the eternal cycle of regret and evil, and feeling unworthy of existence and happiness within that cycle.

As Vylet Pony writes on their bandcamp page:

"Monarch of Monsters" is an allegory for how trauma, loneliness, and selfishness can turn you into a horrible person; it's about endeavouring to stay alive even within a terminal state of regret; how — in this regret — experiencing any happiness at all feels insincere and undeserved; about perpetuating ... read more

BABYMONSTER - DRIP
38

With shitty music like this. Good luck getting that drip you speak of.

I like listening and reviewing to K-Pop albums but I notice I don’t write a whole lot on them than I do for other albu… nevermind just remembered my X:IN review was really long… but still I wanna start putting in a bit more effort into my writing when it comes to K-Pop through research and stuff because I want to see more people giving the genre a go.

‘Woke Up In Tokyo’ IS ACTUAL FERAL ... read more

Jake Paul & Team 10 - Litmas
3

At least the fights before the Jake vs Tyson fight were actually really fun to watch, big congrats to Goyat and Taylor on their victories.

The fight was boring as shit… NOBODY was cheering for Jake and Mike looked like he saw a ghost while walking to the ring. I feel so sorry for everyone who bought a ticket to watch that live…

Bet you that Jake will want to challenge me, Fox Mcloud to a fight as soon as I hit my 50’s. I will destroy him.

This is an album that ... read more

Emei - RABBITHOLE
41

Tiktok Edit core. Nothing more.

It is frustrating the steep regression that Emei’s music has taken since ‘Scatterbrain’ which showed a lot of potential.
This whole album is basically Emei trying and failing to be Bella Poarch, Trying to create her ‘Inferno’ or ‘Build a Bitch’

The thing that I did love about her first album was her production which brings a lot of magnetism. The title track especially features beats and grooves that immediately pull ... read more

FLO - Access All Areas
81

WELCOME TO THE CAMP
I was going to write a more dramatic introduction, but it seems that Cynthia Erivo beat me to that.

Edit: Just realised that FLO released this album on the same day as the 30th anniversary of TLC's album CrazySexyCool which... YES

This is simply the best album released by an all female trio since Odd Eye Circle’s Max & Match. FLO consists of three members as seen on the album cover. Renee on the left, Jorja in the centre, and Stella on the right. And they ... read more
