In this album, Dua Lipa takes us to the future- with a blast of the past.
Through the album, she was able to pull through and was able to incorporate the modern music with nostalgic sounds with various homage to the big names of pop music.
Songs like “Physical”, “Levitating” & “Hallucinate” makes you want to dress in black and dance in the dark with the faint light. It’s a good dance album that makes you feel good, a perfect album to carry you ... read more
This is Dua Lipa. This is her debut.
She offers a sound that is solid enough for a debut, though some tracks might not hit- it did not fall.
It is enjoyable, if I want to listen to it casually, it’s usually some track will be cherry-picked, like “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)”- that one packs a punch of a banger.
This is an okay introduction. Comforting listen, not bad.
What’s my pleasure? Good music.
Through this album, Jessie Ware came through with an excellent pop sound for us to dance through an atrocious year that 2020 is.
Everything is solid, with the title track and “Read My Lips” coming out as a bang.
This was a refreshing take on pop music considering there are barely good outputs of the said genre these days.
One of my favourite records of 2020. Very enjoyable, and a pleasure to listen to.
I went back to an album that I looked forward to after “folklore” release.
And unfortunately, it was a bummer.
Everything felt the same, through her career, she has done the similar sound in her albums, this included.
A lot of people have mentioned that, and yes.
The album is hardly memorable, but it has some good tracks however.
It really is a bummer to see her going with this sound again, truly a bummer.
From start to finish, everything felt solid.
The album is a cohesive piece of work, with a very smooth current between tracks.
The production is expensive, if released today, the music is still relevant to this day. It is timeless.
It was a pleasant listen, a very respectable record.
Is this a memorable record? Yes. It is very good.
This album is literally what the title says: “Daddy's Home”.
The delivery is solid, she came home and delivered everything you need. The cohesiveness, the production & the mixes (everything sonically) are fine.
My current favourite record of the year. I loved it, this is what you will listen to at night. For me, this is a night-time record, it’s very lovable.
