DAMN. was the only thing I have said to a couple songs from this
This is also somewhat incredibly sad
Pretty nice, wasn't expecting anything crazy but I still had some vibes with it.
Especially the first and second song, I really enjoyed them.
Edit: 76 - - -> 88
2 years later. Now that my ears have developed, this record is amazing
I always listen to music at full volume but this album made me turn it down a bit
[90 - - - > 96]
Hits harder with every listen, gawdamn
Just 3 years before Kendrick became one of the top dog's of rap
While I consider this to be the greatest concept album of all time, I also tend to enjoy this more than TPAB, mainly because of the story heh and the beats on this one. This is also kind of nostalgic to me because this was also one the first rap albums i listened to in full. Swimming Pools was also the first song I heard from Kendrick I believe.
The songs on this album are not as striking like on TPAB, because this one is made for ... read more
Since Drake and K Dot are having a big pillow fight, I am now revisiting every album from Kendrick because every single one of them are incredibly good and very impactful unlike every Drake album 😛
To Pimp a Butterfly, needs no introduction.
I was very surprised when this album surpassed Ok Computer because I never thought it would be surpassed considering how every music nerd loves to praise Radiohead, but anyway, the experience of this album is incredible, every song hits and it contains ... read more
Way better than what I expected
Only song I've heard from Pantera before this was obviously Walk so this was a surprise to how much variety it had in my head, like I didn't expect it to have some thrash metal influence (and also a bit of grunge) and with that, this was one of the most angry and heavy metal I have heard. The cover of this album gives you pretty much the whole picture of this album, a punch to your fucking face.
This is just peak metal for me, Tool's Lateralus is a very important record for me because not only did I fall in love with it at first listen but it also introduced me to the most complex music I've heard, like, everything about this contains some real genius shit, and Tool has always been genius. I think I'm close to my 10th listen for this album and it genuinely gives me a headache trying to figure out some of the time signatures or even the full album lol. And can someone tell me how these ... read more
I randomly remembered the song Bad Girls and I decided to check out an album from her and I might've just accidentally discovered the album that started the weird hip hop wave (Death Grips, JPEGMAFIA, RTJ etc.) So it's weirdly ahead of it's time.
I was 2 tracks in and thought this is not gonna be for me, until literally the next track is where I started loving this project lol
It's insanely catchy, contains some solid creative material here and it's also very fun. Overall a cool, interesting ... read more
Enjoy the Silence is just one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Love this dark atmosphere that this album has, and with that it's also a very sweet listen with a lot of bops. I can't seem to enjoy Personal Jesus though, something doesn't want to click with me and I can't figure out why, it's very odd.
