björk discography review - #11
what a way to end up the discography of such an amazing artist. selma songs is a perfect soundtrack to a perfect movie. overture starts the movie and already makes me cry. cvalda is a really fun track when in the movie björk works overtime to save her child to go blind. i’ve seen it all is what she sings when she knows what her destiny is - go blind. a really beautiful song with amazing lyrics and production. the following four tracks are the most ... read more
welcome and pretty are cute songs. i don’t like secret story of the swan that much but it isn’t a bad song. merry go round is the only highlight, it’s very energetic. rococo is decent and with one is a good ballad but doesn’t stand-out at all. this album is very mediocre. i wouldn’t listen to it if it wasn’t for merry go round.
favorite tracks: merry go round
everglow delivers a promising debut single with the great title track bon bon chocolat, the magical sounding opening track (and the best, in my opiniom) moon and the ballad d+1 that is the worst song, but it’s not that bad.
favorite tracks: moon > bon bon chocolat
title track isn’t bad, it’s actually very cool and catchy, but it’s the basic girl crush edm song. player is basically a mashup of adios x dun dun. salute might be the best b-side in here, it’s fun but honestly it isn’t that great. no lie is very basic aswell. vocals sound good.
favorite tracks: dun dun
as seen with the keys the album has fun and energetic tracks and more mature tracks. red sun is a good song but i’m not really into the chorus drop. all mine is a cute summer song. night aviation is a stunning track which title sums up the vibe. black out and kind of cool are more energetic songs. birthday girl, black hole and recipe are more calm songs. it’s a good project. i might comeback to some tracks.
