A random slog but a very fascinating one.
One of the most original late 60s psych bands
MOONCHILD IS A PERFECT SONG.
Masterpiece. Lightning in a bottle.
The 60s beyond The Beatles:
Great psych rock with baroque and freak folk elements. Very underrated.
A very fine and underrated 60s psych record. It starts off extremely strong and captivating but has a bit of a clunky middle. Fantastic instrumental palette, attitude and vision. Serious proto Spacemen 3, Brian jonestown massacre echoes
some of you self serious goofies need to realize this is party music. ur not supposed to study this. Its made to be turned up at 100% volume at a lit ass party to go stoopid lit to. amazing beats, amazing agressive energy
A perfect album so dense, so creepy, so mysterious you can seriously get lost in the conceptual and autistically detailed rabbit hole that is the history of this album. The first time i listened to this, i seriously could not sleep at night
Monkeys' magnum opus. The Jewellers Hands is lightning in a bottle
the spelling on Dangerous Animals was just very unnecessary
Some good riffs, cool rhythms etc. but we may never know what made Alex Turner get a haircut and become an actor playing guitar. Alex Turner from 2012 to 2014 is true second-hand embarressement.
Visionary, bold and totally fun. The vintage synthesizers, panoramic instrumentation that echoes Pet Sounds, Phil Spector and 70s funk and smooth rock. Alex Turner is one of the few modern artists taking risks and making intense left turns with sharp attention to detail.
Yea.. a perfect record. The way music is supposed to be made. with conviction, urgency and soul
oh come on, louie ur not Ray Davies, hang up the hat
The Byrds magnum opus.
Listen to Moog Raga in the deluxe edition
Holy fucking shit, this album will get you pumped!
fav track: Black Satin
the Indian classical instrumentation just adds so much
