Fontaines D.C. - Romance
76

FONTAINES DC MAKES ANOTHER 8/10 ALBUM WITH LIKE 2-3 MASTERPIECE SONGS ON IT AND ALSO SOME FILLER WHO KNEW

Louis Cole - nothing
75

VERY cool that this exists!

Peter Cat Recording Co. - BETA बेटा
73

Far more ambitious and large-scale than I could have ever expected and it's going to take a while to fully take it in, but overall a lot of this was stunning. Not as memorable as their debut but might grow on me!

Osees - SORCS 80

ONE TWO THREE FOUR LOOKATTHEFUCKINGSKY

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Flight b741
86

Of course I'm biased. I mean, look at my name. That said, FLIGHT b741 is just stellar, and an album that has already grown on me with every listen. The band's approach to passing the mic around and everyone having their own time to shine is a real blast, though admittedly it at first it leads to some songs having so many different moving parts that they aren't immediately memorable (I'm thinking Antarctica and Field of Vision). But these songs GROW on you!

More than that, ... read more

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU

Been following Peggy for years and to this day every album drop makes me say "how the fuck did he do that?" Might be one of his best yet

The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land

Wand - Vertigo
78

Missing a lot of what I love about Wand’s music, but it’s still sonically inventive and pretty interesting. Just wish the songs were more memorable

GUM - Ill Times
66

It’s so cool that this exists but most of the songs here didn’t really do it for me :(

Denzel Curry - King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2
76

Definitely fun but not particularly memorable, especially by Denzel standards

Childish Gambino - Bando Stone and The New World
72

This was unexpectedly kind of insane right? So incredibly versatile and ambitious - not all of it works right away but man what a thrilling listen

James Blake - Bad Cameo
75

My GOD James Blake's production is incredible here!!

Pond - Stung!
68

EDIT: after a few listens, this is better than I gave a credit for. My primary complaint is that this album still sounds like a collection of songs that Pond could’ve made at any point in the last 10 years, but there are definitely some tracks on here that I think are fantastic.

OLD REVIEW: Definitely disappointing. I've been a Pond fan for years and have liked to loved nearly everything they've put out. This time around though, all of the singles underwhelmed me and I feared ... read more

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS
80

are you KIDDING ME!!! I had no idea this is exactly the kinda shit I needed this summer

NxWorries - WHY LAWD?
80

This really surprised me! The album equivalent of a lazy river of melted butter

Dick Dale - Wanna Surf?
75

kids hearing this in 1960 like: i feel the blood of satan flowing through me

Charli xcx - BRAT
86

my neighbours knocked on our wall while we played this happy pride month

KAYTRANADA - Timeless
71

Kaytra I love you man but this is soooo loooooong

Cindy Lee - Diamond Jubilee
95

This thing is so massive that 2 listens in and I feel like I experienced like 5% of it. It not being on streaming means it's hard to identify individual songs too. Kinda like getting lost in the Louvre! Anyway this is so beautiful and very much my cup of tea

twenty one pilots - Clancy
65

Definitely a mess and shockingly forgettable despite how all over the place it is. But I will say that TOP is really going for it!
