PUP - Who Will Look After the Dogs?
63

Been a pretty steep downhill since Morbid Stuff for me :(

Men I Trust - Equus Caballus
76

Liked this almost exactly the same amount as their last record! Makes for a really wonderful and consistent double-album

Model/Actriz - Pirouette
78

Hmm…huh… you know this was one of my most anticipated albums of the year given how much I loved their last record and the singles, but on first listen this was oblique and just didn’t land. Hoping it gets better after my inevitable 1000 re listens

Car Seat Headrest - The Scholars
72

Impossible to rate this on first listen, but I'm glad CSH are back and as ambitious as ever. Wish there was a bit more impact on first listen but hey anything is better than Hollywood

Goose - Everything Must Go
67

Falls into the classic jam band problem of having incredible live shows and very okay studio albums. Definitely some highlights here, but this thing can feel very tedious at times. I still love you Goose!

BRONCHO - Natural Pleasure
90

Summertime mellow lo-fi psychedelia that’s sneakily deeply weird? Literally what I live for

Viagra Boys - viagr aboys
85

Every time the boys drop an album I’m reminded how great they are

Adrianne Lenker - Live at Revolution Hall
95

The closest I’ve come to realizing my dream of hanging out in a swamp with Adrianne Lenker

Vegyn - Blue Moon Safari
68

Basically a lo-fi-beats-to-study-to remix of one of my fav albums ever...cool?

Bon Iver - SABLE, fABLE
83

GOSH this was so beautiful

R.A.P. Ferreira - OUTSTANDING UNDERSTANDING
70

R.A.P. Ferreira once again releases a cool, vibey little LP

Momma - Welcome to My Blue Sky
80

Truly thick crunchy guitars that you could feel at the back of your throat somehow. Loved it!

Babe Rainbow - Slipper imp and shakaerator
83

Feels so good to say that this is Babe Rainbow’s best album in years! In a world succumbing to darkness, these Australian hippie surfer dudes dropped cute little sunshine music that made me happy 🌞

Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong
70

Incredibly disappointing... the songs are so multi-faceted that none of them really stick, and many sound like those all-singing musicals where the actors just sing the dialogue in between the actual songs. The instrumentation and production are all excellent though

Unknown Mortal Orchestra - IC-02 Bogotá
60

reminds me of that 200 song mac demarco project but in a good way? really cute background music

Perfume Genius - Glory
81

Not sure why I ever doubted Perfume Genius, this was great

Ethel Cain - Perverts
76

noʎ ǝʌol ı

more eaze - no floor
75

man if the applebees outside kalamazoo, michigan actually sounded like that i would never leave

Saba & No I.D. - From the Private Collection of Saba and No I.D.
75

The production and lyricism are excellent, but I wish there was more for me to latch on to here

65

Jeffrey Lewis is a wonderful writer and there are definitely some highlights here, but it's not particularly memorable even by his standards
