Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
86

Makes me ascend, this is next level.

Quiet Sun - Mainstream
84

(loud buzzer noise) nope! wrong! not mainstream! 2500 points away from Manzarena

Yes - Tales from Topographic Oceans
82

This album fucking sucks

Eloy - Power and the Passion
88

One of the very best underground prog albums

82

I don't love Rush but this is great

Genesis - Duke
79

Pop Genesis done right

Radiohead - In Rainbows
53

Jigsaw Falling Into Place admittedly makes me bust everywhere but the rest of this is a snoozefest

Camel - Mirage
93

When you think of prog legends, you think of Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, and a few others. What you don't normally hear is Camel. Camel was in the kitchen in the back cooking and refining the essence of what makes prog rock good.

Camel was never a true pioneer of progressive rock or sonic experimentation, compared to bands like King Crimson or Yes, the latter of which had released their epic, boundary-pushing 4-track double album "Tales from Topographic Oceans" just 3 ... read more

Yes - Fragile
77

Overrated but still good, there are light four actual songs here and then a whole bunch of filler

Genesis - A Trick of the Tail
95

Phil Collins proves he can be a prog mastermind but this and a few highlights from W&W are all we really get from him.

Radiohead - OK Computer
89

Predictable and boring (especially by the last two), instrumentals are super cool but Thom Yorke's voice just shits all over it. Airbag, Electioneering, and No Surprises are great highlights though

(57 > 91) Disregard what i said before... shit fucks

Genesis - Trespass
80

Stagnation is a top 3 Genesis song

Genesis - From Genesis to Revelation
50

When I think of a perfectly mediocre album this is what comes to mind. It's insane how little impact this leaves on me. It has a couple good songs, One Day and A Winter's Tale (although it is a bonus track), it was some bad songs, and it has a whole lot of forgettable songs.

Genesis - Foxtrot
96

Supper's Ready is the best song of all time

Dire Straits - Love Over Gold
86

Dire Straits goes back to back with incredible records, following up Making Movies with an even more ambitious piece of art

Pink Floyd - Animals (2018 Remix)
NR

I like the original a smidge more but you really couldn't mess up Animals no matter what

Pink Floyd - Ummagumma
49

At least The Narrow Way exists

Yes - Close to the Edge
98

Nooooo guys you can’t make a three track album and then have every track be equally perfect that’s not allowed!!!!

Sorry in advance

Stupidly good, sucks you in immediately and then spits you out 35 minutes later and then a few months later you’re like “holy shit Close to the Edge is the single best song of all time” and then three months after that you’re like “holy shit Siberian Khatru is also the best song of all time” and then a few more ... read more

Pink Floyd - More
62

If you don't listen to anything apart from The Nile Song and Cymbaline this is amazing. It's a shame there are 11 other songs, though Green is the Colour, Ibiza Bar, and More Blues are solid.

Pink Floyd - Obscured by Clouds
88

This is better than Meddle!! This is better than The Wall!! This is a top four Pink Floyd album!! The real Pink Floyd four album run is Obscured by Clouds to Animals!! Wot's... Uh the Deal? is top 20!! Mudmen is top 20!! Childhood's End is top 20!!

This album is FAR too underappreciated. Some of the band's best work is on this and it gets overshadowed by Meddle and Dark Side.

"@ooevv just didn't really stick with me all that much. I think it's objectively good but I feel the production is kinda dated and I don't feel any desire to return to any of the songs (even though I do enjoy them). I think this one (although I don't think I'd rate it so highly anymore) takes the sound of disintegration and makes it more post-rock esque and I enjoy the production a lot more. I should def return to Disintegration though, maybe it'll click"
