Basically the inventor of Midwest emo. Doesn’t even really fully sound like Midwest emo, but the roots are there. Album starts very good but starts to taper off. Drums are really really good tho. Wish vocals had more energy that’s what the really good Midwest emo excels at
Dave this is like your 200th album ever how is the production bad. Sounds like he’s screaming through a microphone on a lot of tracks, and the guitar blaring in the back doesn’t help much

Yeah listen to Faith no more or ever California before this, my mind couldn’t handle this on first listen. Listening to it now it’s still Mike Pattons normal antics just the weirdness at 11/10
"I was looking for a job and then I found a job"
Idk why the smiths did compilations and not albums, but when the songs are as good as they are here who cares
I listen to the beatles and I'm like "this is alright" then remember they made this in 1966
But this album isn't just "alright." With not a single track over 3 minutes this album flies by, but each track still sticks and could've been a hit
Why people acting like this is the best thing since sliced bread this is mid
My expectations were so high after symbolic, and this album wasn’t that perfect but still real good. Voice of the soul genuinely one of the best songs ever
Of course death’s guitar is always good, but I will say this album has really good drumming and bass
I don’t even know what to think of Mike Pattons music anymore
