DOPAMINE is the 5th LP by NY Rapper Lil Tecca
It’s always interesting to me the amount longevity Tecca has had. Like compared to a lot of his other contemporaries who blew up in 2019, he’s been doing an incredible job staying in the mainstream. To me personally, I think he owes that to his consistency, year after year he releases decent enough projects, that while may not be all that incredible, give his fans something nice to listen and maybe have one or two strong singles that ... read more
I’m crying bro the production is so good on this
It’s like Future lyrics over like “Pink + White”-esque production, and Yung Craka is really nice on the chorus, god this album is gonna be so good
Lotus is the most recent album by English Rapper Little Simz, releasing this year.
This is Simz’ first album without collaborator Inflo, who had been a big part of her previous albums since her breakout record GREY Area, after a falling out and ensuing Lawsuit by Simz over years worth of unpaid loans that Simz had lent him. While sonically this doesn’t mean much to me, as this is my first Simz Record, it does have quite a bit of impact on the themes and lyrical content of the ... read more
It gets 5 points because I think Dax’s overdramatic ass feature is the funniest shit ever
Magic, Alive! is the most recent album by Virginian Rapper McKinley Dixon, releasing last Friday.
Now, as someone who loved McKinley’s last record, Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!?, I was really excited coming into this record, and wondering how he would follow up from that previous album, and, as you can see from my score, it did disappoint at all.
The production here is incredible. Each track feels like it has layers upon layers of live instruments that help with the impact of each song. ... read more
This “Director’s Cut” is a deluxe to Peggy’s 2018 breakout album Veteran, released this year, consisting of most of the tracks on his NOT ON VETERAN compilation album
Before i get into the positives I want to get through the two biggest negatives of this deluxe for me. Firstly, the tracklist, I can look past half of these songs having been on streaming for years atp, but “Puff Daddy” and “ash my blunt on a suspended License/don't ruin that ... read more
So Much Fun is the 1st studio album by, Atlanta Rapper, Young Thug
Guys…. You’re never gonna believe what I think about this album.. I think it’s really fun…. One could even say, so much fu-
I am kinda being a silly billy when I say that this is a really fun album, but also, it *is* a really fun album. And, from listening to I think thug had a lot of fun making it.
A lot of the production on here is kinda upbeat, light and energetic. “Surf” and ... read more
DISCLAIMER: Most of the thoughts I’ve shared in this review are pretty outdated to my thoughts now, the score still stands tho, I’m only keeping this review up for archival purposes, I might rewrite this in the future if I feel like it

God, with every new single, I get more hyped about the upcoming album
Given time, this might become my new favourite single from the Virgins. It sounds incredible, the chorus is incredibly catchy, and I really like what it’s doing lyrically here, commenting on parasocial relationships and obsessing over problematic figures.
After the party is gonna be AOTY 2025🗣️
from flowers is the 2nd EP by electronic artist lexycat.
Unlike most all of her other works, this EP is an almost solely instrumental release, with the only noticeable vocals being samples.
Honestly, as a fan of lexycat, I can’t find it in myself to be all that big a fan of this ep, and that’s mainly because, most of it just sounds incredibly same-y. Outside of 2, maybe 3 tracks, most of the songs on this 7 track EP sound very indistinct, the whole middle of this album kinda ... read more
Diaries of a Cyber Cunt is a 2022 EP by Sink Saiko and 4evrx, acting as both’s first EP
I mean this with no disrespect to either artist but this really does feel like an early project. A lot of things just sound incredibly wrong. Especially the drums, I feel like they’re consistently way too loud. There’s also some additional parts of some tracks that like to make use of repetitive samples, which, while I get the idea, it just doesn’t really work out. Honestly that is ... read more
Wish You Were Here is the 9th Studio Album by, British Rock Band, Pink Floyd
Wish You Were Here is considered to be one of the best albums ever made, and honestly, from my 2-3 listens, I absolutely see it. This concept albums lyrical conceits show in 2 halves. One half of the tracks, “Welcome to the Machine” and “Have a Cigar” focus moreso on criticising the music industry, with how it treats its artists and works them to death while giving them little in return. The ... read more
Who in the hell during production saw Kaiju No 8 and thought, ah yes, hit pop band One Republic would be perfect for this show
The arsonist is an apt title cuz ts is fire🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Ok bad joke aside, AND THEY MINE FOR OUR BODIES is the second album by, British Experimental HipHop Artists, Gao the Arsonist
Before I continue though, I need to bring up the elephant. Is the mixing kinds ass? Yes. Do I care? No, it’s honestly better for it, anyways on to more important matters.
To put it simply, the production on this album is Dreary. Not in like a bad way, but in like a depressing way ig, is like the best ... read more
“I hope they play Fraggle Rock!”
“This is a clipping. concert”
Dead Channel Sky is the most recent album by LA HipHop group clipping.
Production-wise, this album is a huge departure from their previous works, embracing a lot of Electronic and Techno sounds. I think there was definite room for fumbling, which I think does occur to some extent, I’ll explain why later, for the most part I think Hutson and Snipes, the producers of the trio, do a lot of great work ... read more
If you’re significant other ever plays this for you in a romantic context
Break up with them
Veteran is Peggy’s third studio album, released in 2018
Inarguably I’d say, Veteran is Peggy’s most important album within his career, being not only his breakout tape, earning him the recognition that he’d been aiming for for a long time, as well as pioneering his sound that would evolve into what is is today in later projects.
As beloved as this project is, I can’t say I enjoy it as much as other people, mainly because of the production. As important as the ... read more
