These 1 hour+ long albums are killing meeeeee
For my first Lupe album, he left a great impression. I really like his voice for some reason, it just kinda clicks with me. The way he raps is super nice too, I love his word play on the longer tracks. The beats are pretty cool too. Nothing crazy special, but they amplify Lupe. Overall, I really like this.
I can’t wait to hear more.
[My thought process during this album]
What the actual hell were they thinking on this album? What are they trying to do? If you're gonna make electronic music, do it good and make it original, not bland and done out. Their worst album by far.

So I came around on this. Nocaf is good, I SAID IT. Sure it's long and bloated like other 1975 albums, but the creativity is overflowing on this. I really ... read more
The fact that this is one of my faves is ridiculous, cuz the song is inherently stupid, but it just bangs too hard.
It's like what they did on their second LP, but even more refined.
Do you think matty is a leftist? Like I'm genuinely curious, cuz the things he's said point toward no, but then you have this and all the other shit he says with the 1975.
Discord relationships: The album.
This is their magnum opus in my opinion. Their most fleshed out, clean, and fulfilling. If you tracked the progress from the self titled to here it would be drastic, cuz the attitudes and sounds presented are so much more realized. I don't usually talk about lyrics, but the ones on here are either painfully real, or funny as hell. They really show the bands maturity. Every song is amazing, and they fit so well together. I love how they leaned into a more art ... read more
I mean, I really like this record. It's one of my favorite albums oat. Ik it's basic white girl shit, but sometimes I wanna feel like a basic white girl /_ \
This is an amazing record, like i genuinely have zero complaints. clean track list with no skips, amazing vocals and instrumentation, and an incredible nighttime vibe. This is the first album i listened to from them, and it made me an instant fan. I loved every aspect about it and constantly replayed it. I still do, but now i have to ... read more
The first album they made, and it’s pretty good.
I’m gonna be honest, I have a massive bias to the 1975. I’d praise them even if they made a boring ass 1 hour ambient album or something. But when I tell you that I can vividly feel how unpolished this record is, I mean it. They have a sound figured out, but it’s not familiar enough to them and you can tell. Sometimes they sound like robots, sometimes they sound like they know what they’re doing. Either way, I still ... read more
So this is gonna be the start of me reviewing and re-reviewing stuff by The 1975 (one of my favorite bands of all time). This time I’m just gonna be reviewing the deluxe tracks cuz I don’t wanna have to review every single ep.
Yeah, these songs are some of their best. I’m not gonna dive into a lot of them, but just know that they’re still great. “You” is really great with it’s catchy guitar and tight drums. That last part tho is… ???. ... read more
I'm being so deadass, this is one of the best songs of all time. This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard in my life, and the first time i heard it i cried. Every time i play this i have to hold back tears. If you pair it with the music video (which is one of the best music videos of all time), it goes beyond a 10. Fucking incredible.
feels like a really long hug. a 50 minute long hug.
MIKE does his thing and makes another great album. This is one of his more warm releases tho, like he put more effort into this one. I really like the features, and the beast selection compliments MIKE nicely. Just a great time.
I'm liking what I'm hearing mr. breakdance.
this is like punk2 if he had a cleaner vision and waaaay more ambition. he takes the raw energy from punk2 and combines it with a more mature outlook. the highlight of this is obviously the production, cuz that's what drives this album forward the most. really glitchy, hard-hitting, and out there. it brings the loose ends together, forming a cohesive project. brakence does a better job with the vocals too. they seem more polished and less crazy. his ... read more
this really is punk 2
i've been meaning to listen to brakence for awhile now, and he definitely didn't disappoint with this one. High energy, super catchy, and really weird. If you have those things in an album i'll probably fold instantly. The beats on this are fucking insane in the best ways possible, super glitchy and hard hitting, making the deliveries by brakence resonate so much harder. The vocals are cool, nothing special, but def not bad.
