The live renditions of some of Antonoff's recent hits are beautifully captured here. Versions are similar yet different, with Chinatown in particular extracting the best out of Bruce Springsteen - something I felt the studio version failed at. Very enjoyable.
A fun album that may not reach the heights it aims for - Trip Report is a fun addition with a killer bass line
One of the few pop albums I enjoy, still as strong today as the day it was released
Brilliant work, the sampling on this album is absolutely awe-inspiring
A brilliant piece of work from beginning to end - takes you on a journey that you wish would never end
Beautiful sounding, its simplicity makes it perfect for sticking on and zoning out.
Whilst the writing may not be the most inspired and the vocal performance not as strong as comparable albums, this album is filled with catchy riffs that engrain themselves in your head. A fun listen, but perhaps not the most impressive.
Edit: Bumped up my score to 78 because I really enjoy listening to this album
A pleasant EP that lets you drift away with its soft charm. There are definitely some areas that can be improved, but as a short debut it shows promise for the future.
