An important disclaimer would be that if you’re expecting anything remotely close to LP1, you need to change your expectation.

My first impression floored me.
The transition from My Woman to All Mirrors I felt was similar to Perfume Genius’ Too Bright to No Shape, both being that they went from shyer, more ballad driven compositions to a more grand, orchestral type sound.
Not a complete review but I can’t see this being anything less than a 90.
XYZ is Iglooghost going a slightly deviant EDM route but it’s nonetheless catchy and entertaining while retaining its identity.
A couple of underwhelming tracks, but captivating in its entirety due to its short run time. Overall, a really easy listen, but not the behemoth that Neō Wax Bloom was.
Tim Hecker’s music can only be defined as ambient by default. It marks the checklist when it comes to droning synthesizers and lively soundscapes with no words to paint a picture. However the music is much more visceral than the genre would ever indicate.

Angel Olsen is at her best when she is raw, unfiltered, and succumbing to the emotional vulnerabilitity that permeates through her strong quivering voice.
