Holy moly, this is easily the best metal album I’ve heard in 2024. The guitar licks, the vocals, the drums, everything’s just 👨‍🍳 💋.

By-the-books indie rock with a slight swirl of Americana; it gets the job done, but I’m hoping to see more branching out on Crutchfield’s following albums.

Relistened to this again recently and I have to say, the project grew on me a tad. Still don’t think this is one of their best, but the high points are really tender and rich.
