I relistened to this eclectic, enigmatic, lyrical masterpiece record again. Point still stands, Madlib's beats meet MF DOOM's genius = masterpiece
This record is a fantastic example of post-rock. I love every single aspects in this, the music and the atmospheric piece that gets more intense, the speech, everything is perfect. Overall this is a one of a kind record, a masterpiece, the best of all time.
A beautiful art pop album and one of the best albums of 2023.
Caroline DON'T Shut Up. One notable thing about this record is how well Caroline Polachek sings. Her voice smoothly moves between really high and deep low tones, making this album interesting to listen to. Musically, some songs in this record have unexpected changes, using unique rhythms and sounds. Overall this is a great record.
The music doesn't change too much from track to track, which can be both good and bad. Some might find it a bit unvaried, while others will enjoy the consistent mood. For me, it's pretty good listen.
*94-88
I need to buy a cassette of this album for the full experience.
*I haven't listened to this in a while, god, I can't say this album is amazing anymore (maybe close) because there are certain tracks that I used to love that now I find lack of elements in those tracks that made my fav tracks like Inside Out, Stratosphere, Earth Moon Transit, or any other great tracks in this album sound really interesting. However, this is still a great album and worth listening to.
Mix with jazz elements, my favourite sounds, and lyrics? Exceptional. It's a masterpiece, the best of all time.
Evocative narrative, lyrical brilliance, impactful and influential
