It's an atmospheric and textured piece that was crafted in such a creative and experimental way. The unconventional instrumentation on this record makes it so unique and interesting. It feels like a film score because of the cinematic feeling this album delivers. The overall sound is like an exploration of the mix of sounds in each track, the sounds could be dark and haunting also could be very dreamlike and otherworldly.
We're back. This is a classic Mahavishnu Orchestra, everything from their early works you can find in this record. Complex compositions, unconventional chord progressions, their exceptional skills and how they create the dynamic in each track. Overall, this is such a great record.
MID, terrible synth playing and sound, nothing interesting happens in each track.
A major step down, it's a bit dull, lacking the excitement and creativity of their earlier works.
Pretty good album but not as good as their previous albums, even tho the album shows some of impressive sound, musical skill, it just doesn't hit me that hard.
Just like their previous records, it's complex, with great arrangements, great composition, and great instrumentation throughout the whole album.
In this record, they're collaborating with the London Symphony Orchestra, and they successfully combine their signature improvisational style with classical arrangements, creating a distinctive sound.
The incredibly skillful performances on this album are truly exceptional. The overall vibe is energetic, with complex compositions that blend diverse musical influences. My only issue with this album is that it's a bit overwhelming.
I just love jazz. This is perfection from top to bottom and front to back.
This record is distinguished by its fervent and intricate musical arrangements, combining elements of jazz and rock, and you get the best jazz-rock, prog-rock record ever. Every musician involved in this record are geniuses. I really love the instrumentation, every instrument blends so well and sounds so fucking amazing.
Blending blues, funk, and psychedelic rock, it has some standout tracks like Freedom, Angel, and Night Bird Flying, and most of the tracks on this album have exceptional guitar work. Even though this record isn't as groundbreaking as The Jimi Hendrix Experience's records, it's still great to listen to.
Blues, psychedelic, with a bit of jazz elements and some experimental... Of course, I love this.
A departure from the more straightforward sounds from previous records, the tracks on this record have some unconventional song structures and great instrumentation, making this record way more interesting to listen to. We're not gonna talk about guitar playing and sounds on this because people already know that Jimi Hendrix is one of the best ever, but god... with that talent and making this ... read more
Not as good as the last album. Same concept as the last album, still (obviously), incredible guitar works, poetic lyricism, just overall a greatness.
A groundbreaking and timeless influential classic. Innovative and creative songwriting + incredible guitar playing = A MASTERPIECE.
OK, this is the second best album of the decade for me.
After the cathartic experience in all of her previous records, now we're going spiritual. Her emotional raw vocals singing some scary lyrics with great experimental instrumentation make this album dark and intense, scared me to commit a sin.
This record is dark and beautiful, a masterpiece, and overall a perfection from front to back.
This record explores trauma with eclectic sound. Just like any of her other records (but it doesn't sound the same), it's dark and intense, with some atmospheric orchestra music mix with industrial sounds and great opera vocals (sometimes harsh) at the front. Overall, amazing album.
This album is a powerful and cathartic experience, talking about issues such as misogyny and abuse, poetically written and sung with raw emotion. This album can make you uncomfortable, but the plus points of this album make it worth listening to.
Fuck... This is so dark, scary yet so beautiful at the same time. Her emotion is so raw, it feels so cathartic especially on the third track.
My First Review in 2024, Happy New Year.
I already did a review the og version, so I'm just gonna review the track "Providence" that isn't include in the og version of this record.
With Providence features a variety of musical textures making it so interesting throughout the whole sequence of this song. They blend many interesting sounds in this, it has orchestral arrangements making this song sound cinematic and atmospheric blends with delicate-distorted guitar and some spoken ... read more
This Is My Real Last Album Review in 2023
I expected country music since last.fm always recommended me this record... I was very wrong. That fucking album cover tricked me. This record is so amazing, immersive experience from layered guitars, atmospheric, and has some unpredictable sequence. This shit is fire.
