My friend recommended me this without context, so of course I typed it in the Spotify search and listened to this record. Then I logged in to my AOTY and read some reviews, most of them said "RIP." I was curious, so I googled "what happened to bl4ck m4rket c4rt?", and a Reddit quote showed up on my monitor screen...
Rest in Peace, Kai.
For such a young soul who made this record is an achievement. It's a beautiful record, but it's a despairing listen. I really love the ... read more
A big stepped down from previous record, at least it's listenable despite it being a very forgettable album. It has some of interesting sound designs in some of the tracks but I couldn't see myself revisit those tracks or even this record.
*Industry plant? Good music is good music, and good music should be appreciated, so... who fucking cares? I discovered this band existence when I saw their name on the iHeartRadio ALTer Ego lineup, they only had four singles at that time. Now that their album is out, I'm a little surprised to see critics praising this band and this album.
This album feels theatrical from the beginning the self-titled track starts playing, then sounds so fun in the following tracks. For a debut, this is really ... read more
The band maintains its boldness in exploring relevant social and political themes. The band keeps giving their usual intense performances, with strong guitar riffs, powerful drums, and impassioned vocal delivery. My issue with this record some of the tracks feel less powerful in terms of their impact and appeal. Some of the tracks are impressive others feel dull and don't leave much of an impression.
Poor guy crushed by a yoga ball.
A powerful work, full of spirit with tight instrumentation and dynamic arrangements, results in a good record.
A bold and ambitious debut by this band. Throughout the record, it takes on a wild ride through a sonic landscape that's as unpredictable as it is captivating.
This is way more interesting than all of their previous records, they don't hit me with their massive reverby distorted guitars and overhead mic that is so close to the cymbals like the last album (yes, I understand the concept of shoegaze, but some of it is just noise). This is a fine, pretty cool album, it has loads of interesting stuff and sounds.
It has some cool sounds but it also has just noise, and same as their debut, some of the tracks in this are not really that interesting but this still a good record overall.
This record is a remarkable achievement that confirms Parannoul as a bright star in the world of indie music.
One note: they need to move the drum's overhead mic a little bit.
Love the guitars, really love the tone, for a shoegaze record this record has pretty cool mix my only issue is some of the tracks are kinda mediocre, still pretty good record.
Man, this is better than their debut. I already hooked since Bending Hectic, excited for this album since and this greatness is finally out. Love it from front to back, it doesn't feel like Radiohead record to me at all (maybe a bit).
Good God... What a record.
This is so beautiful, each track on this record is like a glimpse into Nick Drake's soul, revealing the depth of his emotions and the beauty of his introspective musings. Clocking in at a little over 28 minutes, this record is a short but deeply affecting listening experience.
This record explores themes of solitude, alienation and the passage of time. Drake's lyrics are often cryptic yet deeply meaningful. Now I understand why this record is one of the most ... read more
I fucking love jazz.
Another masterpiece by Nick Drake. This album showcases Drake's ability to craft poetic lyrics that evoke a sense of introspection and longing. The most important thing about this record is the jazz elements, Idk man, I just really love jazz. It's not Five Leaves Left, but I still feel so lonely listening to this. Overall, a beautiful, charming, and amazing record.
'60s folk record that is so beautiful, so calming, made me feel so lonely in the middle of the night (when I listened to this). A timeless classic with poetic lyrics and exquisite arrangements, this is a masterpiece.
3 years since her passed, decided to re-listen to this, this record still slaps so hard. Beautiful, chaotic, unique, boundary-pushing, abrasive, and eclectic. Amazing record overall.
Rest in Peace.
