AMAZING DICKS PICKS. SO FUCKING AMAZING
The first half of this album was absolutely fantastic. SUPER experimental but peggy is flowing masterfully over these insane beats with hilarious bars. However, this album is a definitely bloated and goes on for too long. This album would be MUCH better if you take off Black Stacey Dash, I Just Killed A Cop Now I'm Horny and maybe a few others the album would be much better. Also, some of the songs especially towards the end are too long for little to no reason. First half is the JPEG that we ... read more
Pretty decent. A lot of it is kinda mid but there's some really good standouts. For me, those are TALK ABOUT IT, DROP, BLAME IT ON BABY, and NASTY. Everything else to me was just fine. Baby tried to switch up his style a bit on this one but it just comes off as a little awkward.
Very very very good. This is my second listen to a Thundercat album but I haven't heard Drunk in a couple years. This was just an awesome listen. It's more of everything you like about Thundercat. It's whimsical adventure with thundercat's heavenly voice, great features, cartoonish stories, and awesome bass. Good stuff, could move up to an 8.
Really weird, very experimental, and definitely has its flaws. However, I dig it. It has its problems and not every song is great but it has some super experimental concepts. In retrospect, this album is the transition period between early Tyler and modern flower boy and igor Tyler.
Good overall album, but a little bloated. Some of the songs on here are mind just so amazing I can't put it into words.
Took me two or three listens to really love it, but similar to Cornell 77 it has a unique sound and feels historic. Amazing show.
I'm not a huge JPEG fan, but I definitely fw him. This isn't something I would come back to too much but I enjoyed my listen.
This album is so much fun, and most of these songs would go on to become live staples. Very underrated
Pretty decent early experimental album from the Dead. A lot of it has aged very poorly, and a lot of the songs that became mainstays of the Dead's live song lineup were in their infancy on this album. A lot of the ideas and experimentation on here are pretty cool but this album is nowhere as experimental or enjoyable as something like the Dead album from a year earlier, Anthem of the Sun. Where that album was truly groundbreaking and unique, this album feels like a weak follow up. However, ... read more
So much better than I remember. A couple songs here that i don’t love but the rest are so fucking good that it makes up for it
