I am yet to listen to the second one so bare with me. It's just alright. The guitar work doesn't stick out as much as AFD.
It's nothing but fun and solid rock for about an hour. The lyrics may be simple, but the guitar work makes up for it.
This albumcertainly is intresting. From the backstory to the sound to the release date. Sonicly, this project is very soft and lush. It's really intresting to know a project that sounds like this came out in 2000.
Honestly the best Vampire Weekend project. I've really felt anything for what I have heard of the group so far, but this thing slaps.
Kendrick is the king of concepts. For the first few songs, I wasn't really drawn into the production, but this album completely turns around by Good Kid. It is a skeptical of storytelling added by some of the best beat Kendrick has ever rapped on. I honestly might like this more than TPAB. Looking forward to revisiting this.
Prince certainly has some more daring endeavors like Purple Rain. This album is a much more contained fun pop album. There a few more raunchy cuts than what I'm familiar with, but I'm not very familiar with Prince. From what I've heard his music gets really sexual. Could I see this as the best album of all time? Not really, but it ain't bad.
At some points, it comes off as tacky and unoriginal, but those moments are few and far between. For the most part, this is a very soulful and fun synthpop album with some immaculate production and songwriting. The hooks are very catchy, especially with Break My Stride, which also stands as the obvious best song on the album. It's a classic, and the rest of the songs just barely miss that mark.
Some of these songs really deserved to be actually placed on an album. Longtime sunshine is one the best weezer songs of all time.
bro had to hype himself up every time💀
bro recorded the cod match💀
bro's on roblox vc💀

bro celebrated after every time💀
I went into this album with mixed expectations. I had only heard tecas hold em and Jolene, and I had very polarizing views of each song. This album was certainly better than I expected. Beyoncé was phenomenal on this record, as always. Jolene also grew on me. The album ends combining folk with some more familiar instrumentation, and it works way better than it does for other country fusion artists. It's really intresting to see her branch out to country.
Is this song as bad as everyone else says? Not really. If you don't pay attention to the lyrics you may actually like this song. It's built off a super catchy analog synth that really confused as to how this ended up on Hivemind's worst songs of all time bracket. Then I actually listen to the song and read the lyrics. Besides the ties to Elon Musk, the lyrics are just downright horrendous. This song is explicit, and I have no problem with explicit songs, but the cussing feels so forced. Like ... read more
I should have listened to this album again before scoring it the first time cus I was way off. Björk stands as one of the most well known and crucial figures to art pop right besides Fiona Apple and Kate Bush. Her second album, Post, stands as her most accessible project to date. The album doesn't have as clear as an instrumental focus like Medula, Vespertine, or Homogenic, all of which experiment with a specific instrument or musical idea. Maybe if I had to choose one I would say this ... read more
Not a bad psychedelic punk album, but for the most part its kinda forgettable. It has its moments but I don't really understand the random audio collages back to back in the middle.
While I still think Pinkerton beats this by the most minuscule amount, this album is perfect. While Pinkerton brings one fo the most personal albums of all time, Blue is nothing but classic pop song after classic pop song. This is when Weezer perfected the sound they would continue to chase for the rest of their career. It's also one of two albums that features the best Weezer line up. I feel like all the bass post Matt albums fades into the background, and gets for too overshadowed by Rivers ... read more
In preparation for quarenta I decided to check out XXX. The first half of the album feels much more commercial than what I know from Danny, but it still holds up pretty nicely. The album is supposed to represent Danny's growth into the rapper he is today, so I assume that's what he wasgoing for with the gradual shift in sound. The last leg of the album is very similar to what I do know from Danny, and it deffinetly brings the best songs off the album. I'm excited to see what's going on with ... read more
really appreciate beck branching out from this one. As opposed to the super fun hip hop he puts out, this album is a much more melancholic alt rock piece.
Aged like milk. It brought us classics like Fight for Your Right, and then straight up misogyny like girls. The sampling is fine, though it says in one lane as opposed to the wide variety of what they would do later.
