absolutely insane... 1st disc has some roof shattering highlights and is a great showcase of the band's diversity, although it does have some points which teeter on being middling.
Bumblebee could do with being more intense, and maybe could've been moved somewhere else on the tracklist, and tender situation just doesn't work live for me, especially when they try crank the volume up when performing it, and ode to rene is a fair bit worse than the studio rendition too.

this is excellent, the dryness and occasional deadpan of stanford with the cool production sprinkled throughout give this a bitterness i find very endearing, and even with that aside its just a very solid country album
i'm pretty picky on albums that try getting along with using "vibes" as their main focus, theres very few albums that truly excel from vibes and vibes alone, i don't think this is one of them.
but it's still perfectly fine, theres 3 pretty good songs here (two fish, white gloves and zionszolle) and one great song (people everywhere) but the rest is in one ear out the other...
