It is catchier than some of Sematary's earlier works however it also stays very contained which usually is a plus in music but I like Sematary for his ridiculous off the wall aggression and flows.
putting out 31 songs that all sound the same should be criminal! Trapmania and Sno Cone are hard tho.
Yachty jumps headfirst into psychedelic rock on here and not only does he do it well he avoids the trope of rapper jumping into a new genre and it is just boring basic cuts (Kid Cudi & Drake) Yachty actually has unique flare and a unique style while still staying true to the Psych Rock base. Only problems with this is Yachty does have an occasional odd and weird bar as well as his vocals are mostly done well but a few songs it falls a little short.
Boldy has a couple of good performances however the production choices don't match Boldy's aesthetic or style too well, the writing is good however it is also a long bloated track list.
A short and concise trap banger that has no skips with good production and better performances by future the goat of the trap genre.
a good written and performed album by Che Noir but a very safe and boring project from someone who is so much more talented than she showed here.
Yet another amazing album by Nas and he again is giving u a hint of his old flow and boom bap production while also blending more modern with 808's and trap drums along with new and exciting flows.
A solid performance by YOD he is still sharp with his writing however these tracks do feel a little unfinished and kind of rushed, still fun to listen to and dissect his pen game.
A great lyrical performance by YOD here, the songs are short and do lack structure but he is just hopping on every track and spitting dope metaphors and double and triple entendres.
Rome Streetz is one of the most consistent rappers out there as he releases another quality project with aggressive flows and good bars.
A good solid project from Mavi not as strong as some of his earlier work but has a couple of beautiful melodic gems throughout the project. The first half far exceeds the second half as well.
Droog's most calming and personal album the rapping performances are as good as ever and some conceptual tracks that could be really corny if done wrong he executed perfectly and kept me locked in.
Another beautiful project by Simz this is more laid back and relaxing than her last work however it's production is soft and beautiful and fits the longer run times and Simz soothing voice so well.
One of the best trap albums I have heard since Metros last solo curated albums.
Such a good unique concept album where MF DOOM feels like he is narrating a comic book all while dropping incredibly dense and impressive technical rap bars.
I don't know some of the songs are super catchy but boringly slow paced and there is way more crooning than actual rapping or singing. It feels like Don is just cruising on this album.
Just an amazing unique sounding experimental hip hop album that deals with heavy and intense ideas about grief and loss and they do it in an amazing and heartfelt way all while still being very experimental and industrial in their production and performances.
Amazing concept tape with amazing performances by Abel and he still strives in his psychedelic cloud R&B element.
