Really well written on every track here but the concept of the album just leaves me wanting more on every track. This would be an incredible project if he sat and expanded on these "lyrics to go."
So many all time great hip hop songs and beats. The flow of the album is incredible as well and Has gives a great follow up to Illmatic conceptually. An album that everyone needs to listen to front to back.
Such crazy off the wall psychedelic bangers. I like a good portion of the songs and production choices however my only complaint is the songs all kind of feel like they are biting off more than they can chew here and the songs have cool concepts that maybe weren't executed to full effect.
This sounds like the least Griselda project that has come out of the collective and I love that Conway steps out oof his comfort zone. He still raps about everything you would come to expect from a Conway project but he experiments with his flows and deliveries as well as choose very unique instrumentals compared to his other work.
Some high highs come from production, featured artists verses and Logics more melodic cuts are all done very well. However his fast and aggressive flow runs thin at times and logics auto tune is very difficult to listen to. Not a terrible album from Logic but far from his worst.
Amazing west coast hip hop album with amazing energy, confidence and charisma from Nip. The first half of the album is amazing unfortantly I don't think the second half holds up in comparison but still an incredible project from a rapper gone too soon.
A really good project from Ski Mask showing off his versatility. His flow is crazy here however nothing he says makes sense he just says random things. Still a project I get a lot of enjoyment with.
Only one skip in the whole17 song trackless and all the songs are deep in emotional melodic performances by Cudi, probably his best singing and harmonizing here. The songs are all so emotional and touch on mental health and drug use. Incredible album from an artist way ahead of his time.
Brent's voice is beatiful and a good portion of these tracks are really well written and performed amazing. The only thing holding it back is the basic production choices and a couple of misses in the tracklist.
Really good West Coast project with good production and decent writing. The real star of the shows is Vinces flows and delivery. The only complaint I have is the tracklist does feel sort of bloated.
I think this album is the peak of Jay-Z's writing and lyricism as well as the confidence and charisma that HOV brings on this project is one of one. The production is amazing as well. Only one feature on the album but Eminem lays two of the greatest verses of all time. A track list with no skips and no weak moments.
Lil Mosey actually had a solid debut project then he realeased this project which every song feels like he is chasing hits in the same exact styles as his first project just in a worse way.
Amazing writing and good production. The features all do amazing and Black Thought gives amazing lyrical and conscious lyrics. Huge fan of the flow of the album as well.
One of the first trap albums I remember listening to however revisiting it isn't as memorable as it was when I was younger however there is still a good portion of the album that is bangers.
A really good street trap album from 42 Dugg his voice is super unique and has a delivery very niche to himself. The songs do start feeling a little repetitive as the mix tape goes on but overall a really solid trap mix tape.
A couple of good songs but the majority of this album is a hard to listen to boring and generic pop rap songs. No Heart and Mixed Personalities are good though.
One of the better underground coke rap albums, Rome Streetz flow and delivery is aggresive yet calm and works so well with the subject matter, the production is pretty well done too. My biggest gripe with the album is the mixing is weird on Rome's voice from track to track.
