I guess I am going to just keep inflating the value of 10's on my account, because here's another one.

We all like good music, we all go down the music rabbit hole sometimes. You either start with Swans, or Godspeed, but at some point on your journey through the tunnel you run into "Deathconsciousness" by Have A Nice Life. 13 songs make up this double disk hour and half long masterpiece. It makes up one of the best records of the past 20 years and in my books
one of the best, ever. ... read more

black midi - Hellfire

2022 was a weird year

I left this platform quite some time ago, since I can't keep a hobby that long (Yeah I'm that guy sorry). The main reason however was, because I couldn't find any modern music I actually liked. I mean Swans was still producing music in the 2010's but that was it. I was quite disappointed with the newer music and the stigma that everything is just taylor swift and Nick Jonas. That was until I found out about some very good hands still making good music in our day and age. ... read more

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven!

Masterpiece.

If you really want to know a good and small description of this record, just read the third tag on the "details" section of this album. 11 letters pretty much sum up this 1 and a half hour long record. They sum it up better than I will do and better than anyone else can. And if you don't care for a long review, then just read the third tag and listen to this record. Well the time of most songs may seem quite intimidating or make you fear this record, the end product will ... read more

Daughters - You Won't Get What You Want
90

I gave my review of Daughters last effort earlier today, that record was my first review of the band, but was not my introduction to them or their music. I had listened to this record before and some of the songs too. This record and their before mentioned record, "Daughters" have almost a 10 year gap between the two being 8 years to be exact. And well their last effort was a really good record. There was definitely enough in this band to make a masterpiece or one of the best records ... read more

Daughters - Daughters

Daughters have always been an enjoyable band as they definitely fit the glove of music I wear. That noise hardcore experimental sound that I crave is something Daughters has mastered. "You Wont Get What You Want" was my first listen to this band and well I have not reviewed it yet, that record was amazing. With strong explosive moments that kept building into a madness. That record almost felt similar to something that I might hear on Swans "The Seer". However there ability ... read more

Lingua Ignota - SINNER GET READY

Fantano stans

Well this was definitely an interesting listen and one that I think was needed. Lingua Ignota well being an artist I had not listened to was not foreign to me. I had heard of her from her previous record, but was interested when suddenly there was a buzz around her. All, because some bald man gave her a 10. And well I do trust bald man with his takes, considering he gave masterpieces like "To Be Kind" "lift your skinny fists" and "You wont get what you ... read more

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
100

Greatest prog record ever. Enjoyable from start to finish. Even in the 10 minutes of jamming on "Moonchild" and the long "21st Century Schizoid Man", but If you saw my Swans review giving this a 10 would be no surprise.

21st Century Schizoid Man 10/10
I Talk To The Wind 10/10
Epitaph 10/10 (Personal Favorite)
Moonchild 10/10
In The Court Of The Crimson King 10/10

Overall: 10/10

Swans - The Glowing Man
100

Swans returned in 2016 after being gone for 2 years. During those two years they created and crafted their best record to date. 8 songs and 2 hours long this record is big. With 3 songs over 20 minutes and 2 songs over 10, this record is not exactly the most practicle record they have made. Which Swans is not foreign to. Yet on this record we see the climax of it all. We see Swans building their band throughout the triple trilogy and "My father-". "My father-" was the ... read more

Slint - Spiderland
95

An absolute gem in terms of 90's rock records and a personal favorite of mine. For Slints very short lifespan they managed to put out one of the best records of the 90's. I think it's no surprise I enjoyed this record as I love albums with less songs and more length. As well as raw music. Most of the record is quite raw with very little production and also little drum. Every song on the record clicked for me, with "Washer" and "Breadcrumb Trail" being my two personal ... read more

Ween - Quebec

Out of all the amazing records that Ween forged, this is my favorite record of theirs. I was introduced to Ween by my dad who has seen them like 20 times. I always like the Mollusk and White Pepper the best for the longest time. But once I put on this record I found myself astonished. From start to finish Quebec is a masterpiece. Which is impressive since it is hard to do that when your record has fifteen songs. There are so many sounds and different styles that make this record so unique. I've ... read more

If it wasn't Wilbur soot nobody would have heard these songs that all sound the same.

Pink Floyd - The Final Cut
25

Roger Water's vision for the band clearly was a shitty take. As much as I may respect him as a bassist considering I play the bass. I have very little respect for his ego and his vision that became Pink Floyd. It was a sad outcome of what became after Richard Write would leave. There is a reason most call these the later years and not Pink Floyd. Waters took over the band. yet he managed to still make one of the crappiest records from this band I've heard.

besides the cool noise affects ... read more

Radiohead - OK Computer

For me what creates an album is up to anyone, and what makes an album fantastic is yours to decide. But there is always that one album that sticks out like a sore thumb (not in a bad way,) but in the sense that somebody is gonna see it. So when that somebody finds that they say, "jeez that's a good album." Soon they tell more people about this good album. Then a ripple effect happens. This is what I call the gold mine. And when Radiohead found that gold mine they used it well. ... read more

If there is anyway to start listening to Ween, this is a great project to do so. Though the first time I listened to a full Ween album was yesterday. And that record was White Pepper I can easily say that this project is amazing.

Apart from being a underground band, this album was their closest stretch to fame. Besides that the band would remain to only have a cult following. There are the occasional people who listen to Ween a lot, but do not follow them as much as other members of the tribe. ... read more

Fiona Apple - Fetch the Bolt Cutters
75

I've decided to revisit this album, because from the time I left this was top and it still is. So there has to be a reason why the critics are still riding this album. Now there are some things I didn't give this album credit for. When I first heard this album I just thought it was another Fiona Apple record and nothing really special. But I really need to cut it some slack, because there are for sure some things I should've said on my review.

1: This album has a lot of creative and lyrical ... read more

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
100

I'm officially riding the Pink Floyd train. (May I say the Pink Floyd gravy train.) First I did like an essay on Dark Side Of The Moon, and now I'm doing it on the Syd Barrett tribute. Each song on this album pays an homage to Syd the original singer and guitarist of Pink Floyd, he broke down and left the band suffering from schizophrenia. Think about it the first song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond parts l-V" is actually about him. Including the other Shine On. Then "Welcome To The ... read more

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon

The Wizard Of Oz, 40 years on the charts, one of the highest selling albums ever, good branding, money, time, brain damage, and some lady yelling about god. I'm pretty sure there are even better ways to describe Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon. I'm a dumb kid though so whatever.

After Pink Floyd released Meddle they put out prism with rainbow. This album is considered to be one of the greatest, IF not the greatest album of all time. It features 10 songs all placed well among each other. ... read more

Swans - To Be Kind

I've decided It's essay time once again. If my Dark Side Of The Moon essay wasn't enough, well here we have To Be Kind's "proper" review. When I first heard and loved this album, I never gave it a good enough review. There was so much more that needed to be put into a review for such a detailed album. In all honesty giving a well done review for this record is the least I can do, considering how many people have worked on Swans records over the years. I just got The Glowing Man on ... read more

OKAY LET'S ALL BE REAL THIS ALBUM IS SESAME STREET'S KID A. The follow up to their hit album Sesame Street fever is a great one and one not long to be forgotten. I love this record the big bert features and the energetic vibes make it truly a beautiful adventure. The songs on this album build character and tell such a great umm... story.
