it has a strong start, feeling very quintessential nct, but then it just gets weird? and then like really sexy?? nct likes to do this thing where the bridges and pre-choruses are vastly different than the rest of the song which somesimes redeems the whole song, but in this albums case i think its to their detriment

its very cute, absolutely sugar coated to where its too sweet for my tastes, but still has that illit flavor

came for the littlest pet shop cover, stayed for the slayage. they all blend together, but that just makes for a consistent bop

idk what this is, why is there nyoom, why is tmi a mlp dubstep, i think this is kind of a funny if a bit obnoxious lp but it feels very skz so im down

ok interesting. the songs' subjects are intimate, but that doesnt really clinch it for me. instrumentally its manic, juggling guttural rock, flirty pop bops, edm wub wubs and soulful ballads like it cant quite let go of every option. it gets more consistent in the back end after Bad Friend, but ended up reaching a consensus that i do not really enjoy

its decent, pretty, probably wont stick in my mind for long. i have mixed feelings over this string instrumentation because i dont feel like it meshes well but it is keeping the lp from being overly generic

ive concluded that theres something about illits sound is very consistently refreshing, they do a good job of keeping a strong musical identity between releases, its listenable, makes you feel a bit lighter. its not their best ep ever but this is solid

good atmosphere, good buildups, i think i just find myself getting bored a little too much as the songs like to linger a little bit and my impression of them fades. also no matter what i just dont think i can get down with the metalcore-core singing breaks they almost always make me feel a bit like... gauche? hammy? theres not too much of that in this but its on my mind

i saw this album cover literally everywhere when it came out, on every spotify playlist, but it happened as i was phasing out of my peak stan era so i never really got into txt and i honestly kinda brushed them off as being bighit's babies first and good musicians second. i do think theres something fresh about these. theyre little earworms, more than is usual for kpop. but i dont like it on a personal level ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
