Ice Cube’s absence shows in the sequel to N.W.A.’s debut album, but the group manages to assemble a so-so album with not good but not bad songs.
Arabian Prince, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and Eazy-E come together to create N.W.A., and release a classic in Gangsta Rap/West Coast Hip Hop. Straight Outta Compton shows off the groups reputation, essentially saying that they shouldn’t be messed with at all.
It’s bittersweet to review The Cardigans last album, but they managed to put together a decent goodbye to the fans. You can’t really go wrong with enjoying this album.
The Cardigans steers away from their darker sound and gets influenced by folk and country, and end up almost going back to their roots.
I’ve been looking for the words to talk about this album, but all I can really say is that Jane Remover goes through a beautiful part of life on Census Designated. Since my first listen, many parts of this album have stuck to me, the loud instrumentation and loud vocals show how personal this music is to Jane Remover.
