this is such a pleasant surprise. i like rich brian generally, but i never attributed him much depth or talent - but this record, wow! way better than i was expecting! kind of like an opposite thundercat, which for me is like a raw diamond in terms of talent but never bothered enough to put out a true masterpiece, rich brian was someone that i always listened to casually, but never had much true emotional attachment to his work or, to be frank, took seriously. but this album has some seriously ... read more
